If we have to sneak a little something in there to do it which may not fall in line with the romantic notion of total "free market" system. Who cares, the question is.

That is false buddy! Other countries refuse to buy our cars simply because we have been building largely inefficient needlessly huge, tax guzzling hunks of metal that cant even fit on their roads. And other people pay about double what currently pay for gas.
No one, I REPEAT NO ONE is gonna waste their money buying over priced american junk products that cant compete with their own.
Even americans arent buying american cars any more! We want toyota and honda. Because they are better built, more fuel efficient and well priced.
I am in total agreeance with you on that. But the sad thing is, it is indeed fact that we are needlessly burning 10 billion a month in Iraq. There is little that can be done about that as we speak.
May be some one should give the "more wars" more tax cuts Mcsame crowd a tour of Michigan..( i just saw one posting a thread about how michigan will turn red this year..
