As a non-partisan independent I would like to make the following statement.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Trump will not get the GOP nomination even if he gets the delegate threshold. It will not happen. Mark this post. April 5th 2016. Trump will not get the nomination.
And please my fellow covers brethren. Please try to be more like me -- an intelligent, handsome, athletic, funny, and awesome non-partisan independent

As a non-partisan independent I have no problem with this. But this could be a litmus test for angry emotional partisan lemmings who get so upset by things like this.
I actually don't agree with you tho. But that's part of independent thought that the partisan lemming usual suspects Fail to grasp as they blindly agree with each other and the prescribed rhetoric.
I think trump has won over the hearts, minds and emotions of the GOP base. You have the former candidates and others in the party showing a complete lack of character, integrity and principles endorsing him and backing him.
Trump has pulled off the Ultimate Troll job here, let give him his props.

last i checked, despite having a good lead and being favored in almost all of the upcoming states, trump was the underdog to get the nomination. some shenanigans are on the horizon. should be entertaining.

It's interesting that a thread of non-partisan independents doesn't have the drama and whining and lies and emotion ask name-calling that the partisan lemmings seem thrive on as their life blood.
As an independent thinker I'm sticking to my guns because I have no rhetoric or propaganda to adhere to.
Matt, one of us will be wrong here, either way it's nice to have an actual political disucssion with out the disruptive antic of the usual suspects

The powers that be in the US and NWO will do their best to eliminate Trump. Newt said it best with a chuckle. Trump is not part of the "Secret Society". Trump is not a Bilderberger and does not go to Bohemia Grove.

Trump is a true threat to the things are done in Washington. He can not be controlled by the power brokers. He needs. Non of the campaign donations of super PACs. And such he has no oath bound to Mason brothers or other social structures. He has isn't on the same page. He deals with real estate and development projects. And the establishment will not allow him the endorsement They would have Clinton she works within the confines. Of their government. As one must realize both parties pretend to dislike the other when the camera is on but 0ricately they attend the country clubs go to same social functions their kids and grandkids attend. The same schools . they are the same cut from same cloth . and they are in charge. If Trump a NE money outsider actually wins it opens the door for other new money types to take a stand and run for other offices in Senate and Congress. !making lobbyist and influence peddlers a distant. Thought. Our two party system stays that way cause the two parties are reality one mind that puts an priorities different ranks.

The odds of Ted Cruz vs Donald Trump to win GOP nomination are about even as of now, most likely we will see a GOP contested convention in June. And the GOP establishment will do whatever they take to stop Trump in the contested convention.
Trump might go for independent presidential candidate if the GOP establishment successfully pounces him in June.

Trump can still. Win this before the convention. But he must win all of the East new York by 60%and California a winner take all state. To lock it up.. Cruz needs em all without a brokered win he done. Kasich can't get close. But he can take enough to keep Donald's from getting. 60% in new York....

Yes "shenanigans " is the word! Contested convention means delegate stealing and manipulation, maybe even bribes. I project Trump with 1600 delegates and Cruz to be behind Trump by a few hundred. Look for the rules makers to steal the nomination from Donald. Trump to get nasty.

Yes. Succinctly said. You are correct. They will stop Donald's nomination. Third party run will kill Cruz.

well, something clearly isn't right. trump has a 200+ delegate lead over cruz and kasich is done. next up is NY and trump will; win that easily. so, his lead gets bigger. then, a few more northeast states and trump is a pretty good sized favorite in all of them.
yet, despite all of that, trump to win the nomination is -105 and trump not to win is -115. we all know how to read odds here. that tells you some shady garbage is about to happen. it says trump is not likely to get to 1237 to lock up the nomination so there will be a battle at their convention and since the "establishment" hates trump, they'll pick someone else.
and then trump and his supporters will go crazy.
and i'll be
or, trump could still get the nomination but it certainly isn't clear, especially after last night.

As a non-partisan independent I would like to double down on my original post. I believe that not only will trump not get the nomination but I also think that Cruz will not get the nomination. As a disclaimer I am not as confident about Cruz as I am about trump but I still feel this way. I predict that this dog and pony s show which has been the GOP primaries will be just that. A dog and pony show and neither will get the nomination regardless of delegate count. I think that the GOP is nervous about its future and will intervene for the future of their party. I think that cooler heads will prevail and the will realize that they need someone less polarizing. Kasich IMO is much more level headed and will better represent their interests. I believe the party may see him as a respectable prospect that will go marble represent their interests. Or maybe even Ryan.

I am curious about your thoughts. Not the personal opinions of the merits of trump, Cruz, Hillary, or sanders. Those are well documented elsewhere. I am interested about how you see this playing out.
Much like NCAAF final four. I do not care about your personal opinions of who should be in there but who will actually be in there when you take everything into consideration. The politically reality (literally in this case) of what will happen as opposed to what you think will happen.
