Trump has basically allowed the GOP to display to the world how their base thinks (or doesn't). He is a litmus test for who in the GOP does not even understand conservatism and instead is fueled by emotions, hatred, anger on what ever the prescribed rhetoric is dictating.
The "Trump Troll" is becoming as famous as the "Rick Roll". The difference is people who are Rick rolled immediately turn off the Rick Ashley video. The mindless trump supporters that are getting "Trump Trolled" can't get enough of him and seek for more.

According to predictit, narrow 39% chance of a republican coup if Trump doesn't earn enough votes. Republican party appears divided while Democrats are mostly unified.
According to predictwise, Clinton has 66% and Trump 33% probability of becoming president. University research reveals that gamblers markets are more reliable than public polls in predicting election results.

Those numbers and mathematical predictons. The division in the GOP voters is a evident by the split of votes/delegates, once again numbers, statistics based on reality.
So based on numbers and reality I agree that the GOP looks divided and in complete shambles.
I'm sure many in the GOP feel with their emotions that this is not true. But that type of emotion logic and thinking is the whole reason their party is splintered and in ruins

Seems like there is a division in the splintered and crumbled ranking of the GOP.
You see things about Ryan, Christie and his expression at the podium as he sells his integrity to back trump and of course former GOP front runner Carson who sold out to trump in exchange for a job.
Former GOP front runner Ben Carson being a complete "Sell Out"... Who could have seen that coming lol
And then you have a sentiment that trump is a rino, it not a conservative and that the mindless GOP doesn't care prevent know what conservatism is and it is displayed by their support of trump over people that have conservative histories like Cruz.
I think what the GOP Fail to do is demonstrate an ability to utilize a long term strategy or a logical one. Instead they just react to the present rather than investing in making the party stronger, more solid and having an identity.
I think that there might be some wisdom in getting rid of trump as because if he wins it might be the end on the GOP and conservatism as we know it. Endorsing trump will be he ultimate sell out and display to the entire world that the GOP lacks integrity, principles or anything resembling an identity and instead will actually back trump like fools.
I think the best strategy is to roll the dice on a real GOP candidate such as Cruz and win or lose the election they should logically win in the end. If their candidate wins than great.
If they lose than it should be a 100% guarantee that Hillary will be a one term president of she is really as bad as they say she is. They will
Have to do nothing but sit back and what her fail and win the presidential election in 2020 and beyond.
The problem is two parts.
1. The GOP would have to operate in a logical manner rather thsn emotionally driven and short sighted strategies. It is time to stop reacting and instead dictate in a cohesive and consistent manner the principles and identity of the GOP.
2. The GOP as much as they say Hillary is horrible and too scared and lack the balls to roll the dice. Hillary winning in 2016 and failing can launch the GOP in 2020 and beyond. The problem is that the GOP may not actually believe what they say and instead will side with trump hoping to stop Hillary knowing she will succeed and make it beyond 2020
