Dear old Fidel Castro turned 89 today. I’m sure he was surrounded by his “admirers” and probably received well-wishes from other communist regime dictators around the world – such as our own.
After making his wish and blowing out the candles, Fidel declared, “Cuba is owed compensation equivalent to damages, which total many millions of dollars, as our country has stated with irrefutable arguments and data in all of its speeches at the United Nations.”
It’s interesting that one day before our grand and glorious opening of the U.S. embassy in Cuba, Castro is already playing the organ and holding out the tin cup. He wants everyone to believe that his socialist dream of utopia would have worked perfectly-had it not been for the U.S. embargo. Only one problem with that pipe dream, Fidel. Communism/socialism is a pipe dream that has been a dismal failure whereever it has been tried anywhere on earth. The only reason there are still some diehard commie wannabes in the United States is because these spoiled rotten college socialists have never actually had to LIVE with communism. If they had, they too would be clinging to a raft in the middle of the ocean willing to die rather than live like citizens of Cuba have been living since the “revolution.”
As The Blaze reports, Cuba lost out on $117 billion between 1960 and 2014 due to the U.S. economic blockade on the country, according to the United Nations’ Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC – isn’t that something you buy in the pharmacy for constipation?)
The rapprochement after 54 years of formal diplomatic estrangement was engineered by Fidel’s brother Raul, who took over Cuba’s presidency after the elder Castro suffered a health crisis in 2006.
Fidel Castro did not directly mention the restored relations, though he made several critical references to the U.S.
He said Washington owes Cuba indemnifications “that rise to numerous millions of dollars” for damage caused by the embargo.
I’m just waiting for an attorney to show up tomorrow at the embassy ribbon cutting ceremony. Welcome to Cuba -again- we’re suing you for sixty billion U.S. dollars because you succeeded in building a thriving economy by using capitalism while we squandered our resources chasing a system of government that is a total failure on every front. YOU OWE US. Well, guess what Fidel? You can take a number because Iran beat you to the courthouse. Iran thanked John Kerry for caving in to every single one of their demands on the Iran nuke deal by launching a lawsuit against the United States (that’s you and me) on July 13, 2015.
As The Free Beacon reported, “an Iranian court issued a ruling fining the United States $50 billion for purported damages against the Islamic Republic and its citizens, according to an announcement by Iran’s Judiciary.
Iran claims that the United States is guilty of inflicting “heavy loss and damage” on the country, as well as “killing the Iranian nationals by assisting their enemies,” such as former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, according to Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.
The ruling charges “the U.S. administration with the payment of a total 50-billion-dollar fine for the losses it has incurred on real and legal entities,” according to Fars.
A spokesman for Iran’s Judiciary was quoted as saying during a press conference in Tehran that “those who had filed a lawsuit against the U.S., their complaints have been processed.”
Following a supposed court hearing and judicial review, “the Iranian courts have issued verdicts against the U.S. administration that charge Washington to pay a total $50bln to compensate for a part of the losses it has inflicted on Iranian legal entities and real persons,” Fars reported.”
It’s an amazing coincidence isn’t it? President Obama gets done smoking the peace pipe with two of the worst governments in the history of mankind and what happens? You’re right Mr. President. What we were doing wasn’t working. We’re SO much better off now. You may not have created a single job for the average American worker, but you certainly are keeping the lawyers busy.

And the bankruptcy spending continues, unabated by Congress. After all
the promises . money sent, phone calls made, we get ---surrender to
whatever Obama wants. The Argentina experience is not far off folks.
