The Globe said Romney, for an entire decade, used a landscaping company that relied on illegal Guatemalan immigrants. Employees at the company, Community Lawn Service with a Heart, said its owner hadn't asked them to provide documents showing their immigration status.
The workers said they were paid $9 to $10 an hour, in cash, for working sometimes 11 hours a day.
The newspaper sent a team of reporters to Guatemala after getting a tip that Romney had hired a landscaping company notorious for using illegal immigrants. They tracked down three former landscapers who claimed to have been in the United States illegally when they worked on Romney's lawn.
One of them, Rene Alvarez Rosales, said he worked for Romney eight years landscaping his lawn, occasionally getting a "buenos dias" from Romney himself. Others told the Globe of casual encounters with Romney over the years, during which he had never inquired about their status.

“There are 11 million people living here illegally,” he said. “We are not going to get enough buses to deport them.”
Some audience members shouted out their disapproval.
One man yelled that only guns would discourage illegal immigration. Another man complained that illegal immigrants should never be able to become citizens or vote. A third man said illegal immigrants were illiterate invaders who wanted free government benefits.
McCain urged compassion. “We are a Judeo-Christian nation,” he said. McCain’s other town hall meeting took place in Green Valley, south of Tucson.

They died building the railroads, they worked to bones and skin They died in the fields and factories, names scattered in the wind They died to get here a hundred years ago, they're still dying now Their hands that built the country we're always trying to keep out

The next time you go grocery shopping I guess you will be asking the cashier for their identification right?

If we are going to have open borders we should just have open borders, but we have to realize that we can not have a socialist paradise, collective medicine, and will most likely have to scale back SS and medicare.
If we are going to be the refuge for the failed state to our South, I am not sure why we don't just annex them.
We just took on 4% of their entire population with the stroke of a pen.
15%+ of their population already lives here.
Let's end the charade and just treat the failed state of Mexico like we treated Baathist Iraq.
Iraq was essentially a well run and civil society compared to Mexico.

Nah, I think its more in line with the standard liberal plight, " My life is miserable and I'm poor, so I want everyone else to be as miserable and as poor as I am, that way I can feel better about my own circumstance"

I think something should have been done but it should have been done by the law.
Using Trey Gowdy's philosophy, are there any laws the President has to enforce? If he can disregard certain laws, like immigration, or only certain portions of the law, like the ACA, can he do this with all laws?

weird how desperate your infantile attempts at humor have become...
you have to change what I say to have any ground...
funny to watch this meltdown continue into next week
Why so upset and negative?
You can tell espalande is feeling humiliated because he comes across negative and insulting... if he wasn't feeling humiliated there would be no need for him to over compensate like that...

I think most of them should receive amnesty and the borders should receive additional funding to make them more secure.
If you think that most of them should receive amnesty that means that you categorically oppose securing the border because giving amnesty to millions of illegals would only act as an invitation to others to illegally cross our borders.
