If the cheerleaders want to make more money ..let them get into the stands ...the NFL will allow cheerleaders to go into the stands during games and visit fans in their seats...
Take a picture,,,,, do a little dance and pick up $250 .....good coin.
Don Fredo, don't worry the Cheerleaders be covered by Obamacare ...

What is a real job to you today ? Sliding up and down a brass pole ?
The professional cheerleaders add a lot to an NFL game, sometimes more than some games I watch. It's not right for owners and players to get millions while cheerleaders don't get freaking minimum.

This is cheerleading. Where at any level is cheerleading a job other then coaching?
To me this is volunteering to support the local team. This women make a choice to do volunteer their time and energy into this.
Cheerleaders lol
Is there something with you ? I'd bet that you wouldn't want soldiers to get paid because they volunteer too !
However, cheerleaders in the NFL get paid, and they are required to do certain things. But, they are paid peanuts, especially in comparison to players and coaches and broadcasters who sit on the butts on critique.
Furthermore. Right wingers are greedy because they want more than they deserve.
Ceo's, for example, who rape employee's because they think they deserve 15 million a year while they pay minimum wage to people that work just as hard. And rather than pay their taxes, they open accounts off shore.

Lawsuit might succeed for some claims.. Especially the main claim that NFL cheerleaders aren't paid for all games, practices and public appearances which violate state laws. However avoiding bad breath may be a necessary job requirement. Perhaps, cheerleaders should form a labour union to better protect themselves. Being a NFL cheerleader is still a better paid and more prestigious job than ticket seller or restaurant worker.

The whole system is out of whack
Again, the right wing philosophy..... GREED !
Don--I gotta disagree with ya on this. Like the old fellow said about the hitchhiker---he knew how far it was before he left.
I think this is supply and demand to a degree---there are girls that would PAY to be a cheerleader---especially if it might to lead to better things, etc.
About the way I feel about NCAA football players wanting to get paid. Swimmers not asking for money for example. They are in better shape than football players because they are in pool nonstop, etc.
Whole thing is ridiculous to me. They certainly have a point; but don't be a cheerleader?

Being an NFL cheerleader looks like a great job. The girls get paid to look good and dance around, supporting some of the most popular sports teams in America. But just how much they get paid is one of the NFL’s best kept secrets. You would think that teams that generate hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue each year would be able to generously compensate their cheerleading squads. In reality, these girls get paid next to nothing. In fact, they’d be financially better off serving beer at the nearest concessions counter.
Per Game Basis
Incredibly, while NFL players are getting paid thousands (if not tens or hundreds of thousands) of dollars per game, cheerleaders are generally paid about $70 to $90 per game. Now, you’re probably saying, well of course, these are elite athletes we’re talking about. Let’s put this into perspective, shall we? A player on an NFL team’s practice squad makes around $100,000 for the season. These players never set foot on the field during a game. Still, over a 16-game season, they make $6250 per game. Some cheerleaders are paid monthly salaries ranging from $1000 to $1,500 with the higher end of the scale being reserved for those with extensive cheerleading experience.
Yearly Total
After two preseason games and eight regular-season home games, most cheerleaders earn about $500 to $750 per season, depending on which team they cheer for and whether that team plays any additional home games in the playoffs. The New Orleans Saints are paying Drew Brees $40 million this season. Ok, that’s not fair, Brees is the highest-paid player in the league this year. Some more perspective: NFL mascots get paid anywhere between $23,000 and $65,000 per year, and that’s not including benefits or yearly bonuses (which can be substantial if the team wins the Super Bowl). Cheerleaders see nowhere close to this amount of salary, and in most cases have to dress up in even crazier outfits.

I get it that cheerleaders don't get paid the same as players or other people in the organization but they shouldn't.
Once again cheerleading is voluntary. I respect their volunteer work and effort to support their local team. And once again, at what level is cheerleading a job?
I guess in college there are scholarships for cheerleaders who use cheerleading as a way paying for college. So cheerleading can be used as a way of bettering one self. Like nfl cheerleaders can put it on their resume which could be helpful to getting a job in the future.
It's like businesses that open their doors to people to with internships to give them experience to better their resume.
What's next? The people that volunteer at church should be compensated because the pastor is? I think you don't get the fact that cheerleading by nature is voluntary.

Yes they have a choice, they can quit, or straighten the dam place out !
Don't be embarrassed for me, and don't feel bad for me. I'm an old man ! If I wear yellow socks, and you don't like them, don't look !
Now if you can't understand post # 22, go back into your bunker and continue voting repulsican, Good luck with that !
