Now keep in mind, he still wants to repeal it, but he didn't say it was the worst legislation ever that would destroy the universe as we know it, the position dicated by Herr Right Wing.
That must make him a RINO because we all know that Herr Right WIng does not allow dissension in the ranks.
It does bring up another issue. We know the mandate was a Republican idea but did you know State based exchanges were as well?
In fact, the idea of State based exchanges was introduced by Republicans as late as 2009.

What on Earth are you talking about? This thread is about the fact that the Right Wing does not tolerate dissent and I await the outrage at Ron Johnson.

nothing gets a republican in more trouble than supporting a republican idea that was implemented by a republican first and then named after obama on a national scale. . . or some sort of rightwing logic, such as it is

Why would the right wing be so fearful of dissent/independent thought?
Perhaps that really messes with their game plan... Or confuses it's base that won't understand what it is that they are being prescribed to beleive and spazz out about currently.

in the teaparty/government failiure shutdown culture of today it is...
I said it before that had the GOP chosen to run newt for president over romney I would have voted for him...
during the Clinton years newt worked hard to make things happen, rather then voting no and working towards the Failiure... He wasa proven leader that has shown a track record of being able to work with the other side... probably what the nation needed to become stronger... but once again the goal and choice of candidate was not about what was best for america... and american knew it and showed it in the voting booth

In the 90's Newt and the rest of Congress had a President willing to negotiate. What signs do you have of your boy Obama negotiating?

obama is not my boy.... didnt vote for him in 2012...
I think that the GOP could only control their side and their candidate... to blame it on the other side is simply the victim mentality and not taking personal accountability and responsibility for the candidate that the GOP felt best represented their values...
newt and paul were more experienced and more qualified than any other candidates out there... it was laughable that you had people actually thinking cain with no experience or no how could actually seriously be considered for president...

a pretty big Fumble in choice of strategy...
What legislation and actions from Obama have you found to be, let's say for lack of a better word, not good?

extension of the bush tax cuts for the rich... although some would simply say that he did it out of a spirit to compromise and negotiate....
but that he ran his campaign on "mainstreet not wallstreet" but when given the chance to corect things he did not...
I am also against his policies in not moving toward legalization of thc...
I also think that he has used the gaymarriage thing to sway voters to see him as progressive, yet he hasnt really made much strides there and gaymarriage is still illegal on a national level...
So alot of my personal criticism has to do with things he campaigned on and then did not deliver...
That is why I think all the GOP had to do was shut up and sit back knowingly and let him fail and prove himself to being lying...
but instead they called him a liar before he even took office which was a huge fumble in strategy... along with trying to fabricate and spin everything and anything negatively along with using the "race card"...
If obama is really as bad as the GOP tried to make him, it required no effort to prove it... but instead they did the opposite and marched him right into a second term with their Failed strategy...
and like I said in the past, perhaps they knew what to do, but didnt have the brains and political savy to pull it off and instead bictched and moaned and thread temper tantrums left and right...

In a visit to NR’s New York office, Senator Ron Johnson said the fight againstObamacare is entering a new phase: “We’ve got to start talking about transitioning.” Johnson won his Senate seat in 2010 based in large part on his fierce opposition toObamacare, which he still adamantly opposes as an assault on Americans’ liberty and criticizes in the harshest terms (look no further than his recent weekly radio address). But simple repeal is no longer enough, he believes. He says that Republicans have to acknowledge that the law now exists. “How do you repeal?” he asks. “Yeah, you can get rid of the law, but what do you do with what’s already there?” He continues, “Am I opposed to state-based exchanges? No.” He thinks “it may be that they can be usable.” “I’m all for repeal,” he stipulates, “but it’s there. What do you do with what’?s there? . . . .We’ve got to start talking about the reality of the situation.” He says that his approach, acknowledging the reality of the new structures put in place by Obamacare and offering a positive alternative, might be summarized as “repeal, dismantle, and transition to something better.”

It's coming,,, be patient ..President Obama promised the American people that his plan would save families of four at least $2,500 on their healthcare plans.

Well now- that's odd-
It seems mine went up ~$3000/year-
There must be a mistake-
Perhaps I should try to contact my representative to see what the problem is....

ObamaCare's success can only be measured in the long term..i.e. reducing the single largest component of health insurance costs, which are actually health care costs.
Since EMTALA, the costs of insurance have risen 3000% and the unpaid medical expenses exceed 50%. The only hope we have is to reduce the latter to reduce the former.
Obama and the Dems couldn't sell a drowning man a lifeboat. It doesn't mean that the concept behind ObamaCare can't work. After all, the two main foundation pieces were Republican ideas.

So, how am I going to save $2500/year in light of all of this....
