What a terrible thing.
A drunken kid slinking up the staircase, unarmed and this guy fatally shoots him. This guy is a murderer despite our court system.

A 16-year-old boy killed by a homeowner when he accidentally entered the wrong house....( the right house would be one were the homeowner didn't have a gun)..
"He then had to sneak back in, so his friends helped him climb in through a back window. But he'd been drinking and picked the wrong house, which looked similar to his own".
Typical Liberal MSM report.......the kid and his friends were drunk ..and were probably trying to break into the house for more alcohol ..

The teen perp defied his parent's grounding.. snuck out of his house, broke the by engaging in illegal drinking, broke into someone else's house, ignored the alarm, ignored the command to stop, even ignored the warning shoot..
...but some anti-gun liberals in this thread ..want to put the blame on the homeowner who was awaken from his sleep by noises from an intruder in his home and took action to protect his family......
The teen intruders mother: "I don't even blame the gentleman," Jennea Gordley said. "I don't know what I would have done." and she and her husband then said they forgave the shooter ..

I'm not questioning the status quo of legislation in these types of cases. But, do you really think this completely wasted kid posed such a threat that lethal force was necessary in this situation?
Just because you can, by law, use lethal force without any legal repercussions does not mean that you should. That is the disconnect here. He didn't need to but chose to murder this kid because he could. I think the punishment of having to live with himself is sufficient.

According to the sheriff's department, the homeowner had come to investigate the alarm when he encountered someone on the stairs leading to the second floor . The homeowner "gave verbal warnings and discharged the firearm as a warning," according to a statement issued by the sheriff's department Thursday afternoon.
But the teen continued up the stairwell and into a hallway. The homeowner shot at the teen, and struck him once in the left shoulder as he passed the homeowner in the hallway and walked toward an upstairs bedroom that was occupied by other residents of the home.
At this point what would you do ?
Lay down your gun and wrestle with him ?
Cableb Gordley's parents said they understand why the homeowner shot Caleb.....and so do I...and while most minor children are ultimately responsible for their own juvenile delinquent conduct..the parents are also responsible for their children's behavior and for the care of the child at any times and should also be held accountable for it .
