Obama said in 2009 that he is not measuring policies against "the day-to-day gyrations of the stock market," but by whether lending is flowing more freely, businesses are investing and the unemployed are going back to work.
By.. Obama's own standards his policies are not a measure of how well the stock market is doing .
Banks are just now starting.. finally to begin to thaw after five years of financial lockdown,,,, for commerical, small bnusiness and the easing of lending standards for prime loans..
But we still have tight lending standards.
Businesses are not investing,but doing stock buy-backs ( some would say that's why + the FED whyt the market is climbing )
..and the unemployment rate has chaged very little standing at 7.5 percent..people are not going back to work in large enough numbers .
If you are someone who thinks President Obama will turn out as the best President economically ..than I say you have set your standard very low......
