Oh they certainly will change, in order to get elected again, but they would try to go right back to the same old strategy. Tricke up. That won't work anymore.  But they are slow learners. People are too informed these days.

Obama encourages, freakin ENCOURAGES welfare. Rather than encourage business growth or economic stablizers, hes increasing welfare checks and food stamps.

Supremes already struck down a large part of VAWA as unconstitutional (correctly).  You didn't see people marching on them, did you?

I wouldn't say 'large part.' US v. Morrison was about a very small provision in the bill and it really did not lead to any erosion of the VOWA statute. US v. Lopez is sometimes considered to be a further case against VOWA, but that was about the Gun Free School Zone Act (although a small portion of the VOWA bill created an overlap of Federal Powers in such circumstances).

One major portion of the VOWA act, being the restriction of the right to bare arms by those subject to a Protection From Abuse Order has been upheld in lower courts and ignored, even after a request by the NRA, by the Supremes.
