Much like the Super Bowl contest, it's time for the election contest. Here are the rules. Cut-off time to make your prediction is Tuesday, October 23rd, midnight eastern time or 9pm Pacific. I'm cutting it off two weeks before the election, because if somebody waited till election eve, the polls would make it easier. You have to predict which candidate will win by how many percentage points. Each tenth of a point is worth one point. Plus you have to guess how many electoral votes your candidate will get. You lose a point by how many electoral points you are off.
Here is an example AND THIS IS ALSO MY PRECICTION:
OBAMA WINS BY 4.1% ELECTORAL COLLEGE: 297
Now let's say Obama wins by 2.8% and gets 281 electoral college points, I'd be off by 13 in the percentage and 16 in the EC for a total miss of 29. Whoever has the shortes miss is the winner AND ALL OTHERS IN THE CONTEST SHOULD CONGRATULATE HIM/HER AND NOT CRITICIZE THAT PERSON FOR A MONTH.
NOW IF YOU HAVE THE LARGEST MISS, YOU MUST SAY 5 NICE THINGS ABOUT THE CANDIDATE YOU PICKED AGAINST (4 Genuinely nice things and one sarcastic nice thing is allowed).
If anybody has any suggestions, say so.
Once again, my pick is Obama by 4.1% Electoral College: 297

It's going to be tight. Obama could even win the popular vote.
In those big states like California and New York Obama will get 60% plus. Plus, in every major city Obama will carry. However, because of the Electoral College system that doesn't matter as long as Romney gets one more vote than Obama does in the swing states.

Big Doug, can you give me a percentage that Romney will win by? Example: I predict Romney will win by 4.7%. Your preciction will not count until you can do that.
