People Died, Obama Lied

Not only did Obama lie, Hillary Clinton lied, Ambassador Susan Rice lied, and Press Secretary Jay Carney lied.   Why no outrage by the American people??  This is unbelievable.  Where are You CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NPR, CNN????

The Obama administration insisted--though it knew otherwise--that the attacks were provoked by an anti-Islam film made in the U.S. by a Coptic Christian.

Worse, the Obama administration inflamed the supposed outrage over the film by telling the world that the U.S. condemned it and was not responsible for it--even buying airtime on Pakistani television to broadcast that apologetic message.

It also sent a signal that American principles of free expression were up for negotiation by suggesting that free speech did not include the right to insult other people’s religions, and Islam in particular.

Now, as new details emerge every day about what the Obama administration knew and when, it is clear that President Barack Obama lied shamelessly to the American people about a terror attack that claimed American lives.

The lies were repeated by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and UN Ambassador Susan Rice, among other officials. That the lies were likely told for political reasons is not an excuse but cause for additional alarm.

As stated in the video, the administration is now admitting Benghazi was a terrorist attack, but the timelines and extraneous evidence (including a collection of different media outlets reporting) show they knew this much earlier than they let on. Only in the last couple days have they finally abandoned the irresponsible blaming of the video (that arguably resulted in the video becoming much wider known than it would have otherwise). So, this is the most transparent presidency ever? But with this hesitant, fits and starts choosing of the explanation for events in Libya, the natural question is who knew what, and when. And did the administration really lie?

No demonstration before attack on US Consulate, source says

An intelligence source on the ground in Libya told Fox News that there was no demonstration outside the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi prior to last week's attack -- challenging the Obama administration's claims that the assault grew out of a "spontaneous" protest against an anti-Islam film.

"There was no protest and the attacks were not spontaneous," the source said, adding the attack "was planned and had nothing to do with the movie."

The source said the assault came with no warning at about 9:35 p.m. local time, and included fire from more than two locations. The assault included RPG's and mortar fire, the source said, and consisted of two waves.

US officials knew Libya attack was terrorism within 24 hours

Giuliani calls White House's Libya explanation 'a deliberate attempt to cover up the truth'

Now, Fox News can in fact confirm that within 24 hours of the assault on the Benghazi Consulate, the Obama administration in fact knew with certainty that this was indeed a terrorist attack.

Now, two sources also tell Fox that U.S. intelligence officials were even aware that the assault was coordinated by Al Qaeda-affiliated operatives. Again, all of this was verified on September the 12th, less than a day after ambassador Stevens, two Navy SEALs and one other American were assassinated.

But rather than tell the truth and acknowledge that the Al Qaeda link existed and admit that the president's triumphant killing of bin Laden was by no means marking the end of international terrorism, members of the administration chose to lie and initiate what appears to be a widespread cover-up about what they knew and when they knew it.

Just like Charles Krauthhammer said, "Bin Laden Is Dead, Al Qaeda Is Alive."

Benghazi: Multiple Requests for Increased Security Denied by Washington

According to the letter, "multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11th attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi. The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington."

The letter offers a partial timeline of attacks on western outposts in Tripoli and Benghazi which shows a pattern of targeting western diplomats and outposts. It also suggests the attacks were escalating in their boldness, i.e. late night attacks give way to strikes in broad daylight. What follows is summary of the incidents mentioned in Issa's letter:

• April 6, 2012 - An IED is thrown over the consulate fence in Benghazi.
• April 11, 2012 - A gun battle 4km from the Benghazi consulate.
• April 25, 2012 - A US Embassy guard in Tripoli is detained at a militia checkpoint.
• April 26, 2012 - A fistfight escalates into a gunfight at a Benghazi Medical University and a US Foreign Service Officer in attendance is evacuated.
• April 27, 2012 - Two South African contractors are kidnapped in Benghazi, questioned and released.
• May 1, 2012 - Deputy Commander of the local guard force in Tripoli is carjacked and beaten.
• May 22, 2012 - RPG rounds are fired at the Red Cross outpost in Benghazi.
• June 2012 - A pro-Gaddafi Facebook page posts photos of Ambassador Stevens making his morning run in the city of Tripoli and made a threat toward the Ambassador.
• June 6, 2012 - An IED is left at the gate of the US consulate in Benghazi.
• June 10, 2012 - RPG is fired at the convoy carrying the British Ambassador in broad daylight as he is nearing the British consulate in Benghazi. No one is killed but the British later close the consulate.
• Late June, 2012 - Another attack on the Red Cross outpost in Benghazi, this one in daylight. The Red Cross pulls out leaving the US consulate the last western outpost in the city.
• August 6, 2012 - Attempted carjacking of a vehicle with US diplomatic plates in Tripoli.
• Weeks prior to Sept. 11, 2012 - Libyan guards at the Benghazi consulate are "warned by their family members to quit their jobs" because of rumors of a "impending attack."
