I see the gun violence as an example of that old adage, "the chickens have come home to roost." We've been at war, or involved in various military invasions, for the better half of 22 years now. Violence ALWAYS begets violence and abroad we're obviously seen as imperialistic. So, it's insane, sad, and the only way I can "understand" it is with a sense of humor and irony. We have a very sick society and a crumbling social structure. Innocence is lost.
