They’re going to attack Forbes and Rick Ungar, and say they get their information from trusted sources like fox news and breitbart.com

i'm not saying he is or isn't.  forbes seems like a decent source, although i'm not very familiar with it.  is this guy full of shit or not?  where's the flaw or what's the counterargument?

I think they're going to say that Bush's 2009 budget was so stuffed with stimulus and bailouts that there was nowhere to go but down or flat.  The numbers remain correct though.  They'll also say 'well that happened in 2009 while Obama was President' - ignoring the fact that budgets are set in the prior year.  2009 was Bush's economy.  Seems to be that things have been getting better and better since then.  Not as fast as anyone would prefer, but better.  Seems odd to call Obama a big spender because Bush was a big spender.

The bottom line is the Republicans seem to hate Obama for things they imagined he would do, but hasn't.  Progressives don't even really like Obama because he hasn't done the things that Republicans hate him for supposedly doing.  It's very odd really.

Calling 2009 a Bush year is a gross manipulation and a flat out lie.
As far as things getting better and better, that's a F' joke. It's the worst it's been in decades, thanks to obama.

Rather than rehashing the facts, listen to Mark Levin on this topic. He can probably set you straight.

obama is BY FAR the least fiscally responsible president of our lifetime. Little to debate about that. It is interesting though that obama was in Congress at that point and Congress was controlled by the Dems, but I guess any cover you can provide Chocolate Jesus, you'll bend over backward to do so.

The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler, who gave the argument that Obama most conservative spender-- three Pinocchios in a fact-check yesterday

AP’s Andrew Taylor reports that Obama’s “rosy claim” has a lot of problems — with Obama being first and foremost among them ...

So what’s the real picture?

Spending sharply increased under Obama, and the rate only slowed down due to the influence of a Republican-controlled House...............

if a democrat says it, you can't believe it.  if a rightwinger says it, not only should you not believe it but you should presume the opposite is true.  hard to get good information these days.

tilt, i agree with you.  you won't find me defending obama's comments unless they can be objectively proven. 

i don't believe either side.  i'm just harder on rightwingers because i'm really referring to the religious right element and while both sides lie, i have a particular distrust for the religious right and like to antagonize them a little more.  you know how i operate.

So Bush starts with a national debt of 5.9 trillion and leaves office with 10.7 trillion in debt. Obama comes in with a national debt of 10.7 trillion and has it at 15 trillion now.

Do you understand that the entirety of the 2009 budget was established in 2008 while Bush was President.  So how is that "chargeable" to Obama?

It all depends if you agree that the first year of a presidential term goes to the predecessor.

Why isn't the Obama campaign all over this article?  They are letting Romney gain traction by so far putting forth a lackluster performance.

Obama doesn't count Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid because those things came before him, these stooges that run interference for him, should be SHOT.

numbers and logic are irrelevant to prescribed partisan views...  They have been told that Obama is the worst president ever and anything that deviates from that must be untrue or need to be spun as not true...
