#1 Posted: 11/28/2011 8:46:37 PM Not just Congressional Democrats but liberal pundits, pollsters and the once loyal members of the MSM are starting to bail on Obama ............
One reason..
President Obama cannot run against GWBush this time.........he will have to run on HIS record..
1.) the most deficit spending of any president from George Washington to Ronald Reagan
2.)stagnant unemployment
3.)a record number of Americans living below poverty level and dependent on some form of government assistance
4.) and the first downgrade of the U.S. credit rating in United States history.......... — all while setting the national record for most rounds of golf played by a sitting president...(30x's this year and 88x's as President )
In August strategist James Carville offering a single word of advice for the struggling president: “Panic.” ..
Patrick Caddell, President Carter’s pollster, and Douglas Schoen, who advised President Bill Clinton’s re-election, suggested through an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that it’s time for Obama to “step aside” and give the nomination to Hillary Clinton.
According to a recent CNN/ORC International Poll 26 % of Democrats would prefer that their party nominate another candidate for president....not a majority, but that number was only 18 % a month ago....
On Obama's bus tours around the country Democrats who want to keep their seats avoided him like the plague....they know what happened in the 2010 midterms...
Even Chris ‘I have a thrill up my leg’ Matthews wants to know; “Is this it? Is this as good as it gets?” Where are we going? Are we going to do something the second term? He has yet to tell us. He has not said one thing about what he would do in the second term.”...
More reasons why Democrats are baling on Obama ...
Obama needs to follow in the footsteps of LBJ and just pack it in....he has just not connected with the American people..they are seeing, that there is a big difference between Obama “talk” and Obama “reality”.........

#3 Posted: 11/28/2011 10:25:59 PM The fact that EVERYBODY is "piling on" should really be concerning, don't you think
That is precisely how the "__________" works isn't?
I saw somewhere today on CNN no less, that ex-PresClinton was commenting about Newt's credentials while Speaker |

They don't have to get their vote...the lack of enthusiasm will cause many of the afore mentioned demographic's to just not vote ...Obama has already lost his way with the youth vote...with the exception of the lunitic's in the Occupy Wall Street protests..
The young voters, who turned out in record numbers to vote for Obama, will revert back to staying home on election day. .. |

Not only that SLIM, but MANY, many Dem voters feel VERY betrayed and greatly dissappointed by the OBAMA regime. It is NOT what they "VOTED" for and EVERYBODY is suffering by his election
Like NEWT answered the question when asked "when will the ECONOMY rebound?"
Hopeful 2012 President-elect, NEWT GINGRICH responded
"ELECTION NIGHT"

#7 Posted: 11/28/2011 11:06:12 PM your points are meaningful to antiobama fanatics like yourself but I think liberals do not view "his record" as significant...
The teaparty/beck propaganda misplayed this by calling obama an extreme leftist and socialist...
Liberals will turn against obama because he is not liberal enough...
What has obama done for african americans? Nothing.... yet beck stated that he had a clear anti-white agenda... so african americans will not see that he has done nothing for them because of the propaganda...
What has obama done for the happy/lesbians? Nothing.... still no same sex marriage... yet you have happy/lesbians glittering republican candidates because they cant just shut up about that issue...
What has Obama done for the liberal "peace lovers"? Nothing... in fact has created more killing of leaders, violence and wars... But because the teaparty cant shut up long enough for the peace lovers to protest, he gets a free pass... It would serve them better highlight the antiwar protestors and back them against obama then try to point out the irony of the lack of protestors as this would result in the free pass...
What has obama done for the common man? nothing... that is why the occupy movement exists... and all the teaparty had to do was unite with them against obama... but instead they spent all these year attacking unions which in turn give obama a free pass...
I mean seriously if the teaparty/propaganda people would have just shut up since 2008, it would be obvious that obama has failed in his promises and ideas for these groups... but instead they shot themselves in the foot by harping on every little insignificant thing they could try to Spin negatively... So now Obama gets a free pass in his re-election...
Job well done
If obama was really as bad as teaparty/conservatives say then there is no reason to point it out is it is self evident... then the independents and liberals would abandon him based on reality...
But because of the short-sighted/compulsive propaganda obama gets a free pass...
Beck/teaparty was better served calling obama a "liar" not because he was in truth "ultra liberal", but show have said in truth he was a liar because he was "not liberal" which then would have been true and the liberals would have abandoned him... but because the propaganda proved to be lies then all credibility was lost and it was just fabrication...
Epic fail/fumble by the teaparty/conservative propganda spreaders... really all they had to do was shut up and watch obama fail and allow liberals to leave him as he did....
Well, that and a viable GOP candidate that america can take seriously

#8 Posted: 11/29/2011 12:41:35 AM When Hillary Clinton was on the campaign trail in 2008 and spoke at Scranton High School, the line to get tickets a few days before her appearance stretched about 1,000 people long.
Monday's line to grab the available free tickets to President Barack Obama's speech Wednesday was noticeably shorter — about 225 people were waiting when the doors opened for the distribution.
"It's a little disappointing to see that," said Cathy Kneeland, 64, of Scranton, who showed up more than three hours early to stand in line and found herself second. "You would think more people would want to see the president speak."
Wednesday's scheduled speech will be Obama's first stop in northeastern Pennsylvania since he campaigned for president in 2008. |

Well he ran against McCain. But I understand what you are trying to say.
Now stay with me on this, if Bush hadn't fucked up sooooooo badly then McCain might have had a quality chance at winning.
McCain could literally have cured cancer and aids on his campaign, and young people and minorities STILL wouldn't have voted for him because of how badly Bush fucked up.
There are a lot of people, myself included, that really just don't trust old white men, especially Republicans. And Jerry Sandusky did no favors for that stereotype either.
Outside of Ron Paul, there isn't one person from the Republican party I would vote for to get Obama out of the White House. And believe me, I don't want Obama to win.
I know you guys think I do because I say you shouldn't blame Obama for everything. I just don't think everything that is wrong with America stems from his policy. Sorry if you believe otherwise.
The problem I have with this election is the Republicans have the winner already running for their nomination, and he is just now starting to gain ground in the party. It took you this long to realize Ron Paul is your best chance to win this thing. It's almost like most Republicans are reluctant to have Paul run, even if he is the best choice. |

#10 Posted: 11/29/2011 1:09:45 AM Trust me K, there are groups of college professors types blaming this entire economy DIRECTLY on OBAMA's policies not some internet troll like me. I'm talking SMU economic professors(tenured fricken liberals at that) that TOTALLY blame HIS policies for our current economic enviroment.
NEWT is right that the economy will receive an IMMEDIATE boost the night the current POTUS and his inexperienced lackeys(ie. Maxine Waters ) receives the boot and are shown the door.

The question is who are the Republicans going to nominate to run against him. I can't see myself voting for anyone other than Ron Paul. It just seems like Republicans don't want him to get the nomination.

Who cares? You're a tried and true obama ball licker who'd vote for him no matter what. You also sound like a bigot/racist, "old white men" that's pretty much akin to someone saying they'd never vote for a black man, isn't it? Why would a Republican candidate even try to appeal to someone like you? That would just marginalize them. Your vote is cast for the worst president in American history.

Says the moron who knows nothing about me. I didn't even vote for him the first time, I have no reason to vote for him a second if the GOP can put out a viable candidate. You're an idiot. Stop talking. Do something productive like jumping off a tall building or bridge.

Have to agree with Esplande. This does make you sound like a bit of a racist. You may find this hard to believe, but not all old white men are liars/ child rapists.
dl36,
The Tea Party was Co-opted I think it is pretty clear to see that leading up to, and directly after the 2010 elections the Tea Party took a very Neo-Con turn and abandoned their conservative message.
I do not think that they should have stopped in 2008, as you suggested, as they were in their infancy. I think that the prime of the Tea Party strength was directly before the 2010 elections.
It would be interesting to see what the grass roots of the Tea Party mixed with the intellectual base of OWS would look like if they ever got together. Too bad it will never happen. Too much disagreement on fringe issues.
