Can anyone name anything good that has come from Barrack Obama being president?

inquiring minds would like to know if he's accomplished anything halfway thru his tenure?

YES, every incumbent that he backed lost.

He has given a lot of money to people who would otherwise have to get a job... I guess that is "good" for them??

He has indebted us with other countries... so I guess that would be a positive for those countries... 2.4 trillion in a year... simply amazing 

We're now much more popular in France. 

We've expanded the nation to include 57 states.

I have new-found respect for those born in Kenya.

He's created at least three new jobs - two governors in VA and NJ, and a Senator in MA.

I think it's heartening to know that somone can reach the highest office in the land without ever having held a real job.  There's a real Horatio Alger quality to it (those of you who went to American public schools may need to Google that reference).

I've always wanted to own a car company, and now I sort of do.

You have to admit.Joe Biden as Vice President if pretty fucking funny.

He has polarized the country more than the left did while Bush was President and drawn more people into the political process.  I don't think this was his intention, but nonetheless he has energized the conservatives and hopefully gotten more voters to think about what they are doing and not just vote blindly.

Also, he has helped expose te left in this country for wanting more and more "social justice" at the expense of rewarding excellence and achievement.  This was also not his intention, but I think has been his greatest accomplishment.

He has awaken those that were still asleep that the country is slipping away more and more everyday. In November his "presidency" will be neutered and the country can return to conservative values instead of the stupidity of liberalism that's bankrupting the country. 

Quite a few things actually:

He closed Gitmo just like he promised…oh wait….nevermind.

But he did keep his promise than unemployment wouldn’t rise above 8% if we passed the stimulus…oh wait…that’s right…its at 10%.

Hmm…..

He is using his resources as the president of the most technological, rich and powerful nation in the world to stop that oil leak and help the people that it effects the most....oh wait...nevermind.

I don't know that much would be different. McCain might have went for amnesty for illegals before 'healthcare reform'

so long as Obama keeps up the destruction of the dollar (which has been on pause for the last month or two )  i will be happy with his one term as president.

funny how he's supposedly a big fan of Lincoln. well, if he's so smart and such a big fan of Lincoln, ban the dollar and bring back the greenback, it's a no brainer. most all problems solved over night, we snap our fingers and zoom back to full employment, prices drop like a rock, and poverty takes a crushing blow

what we are witnessing with the economy (global) is a currency crisis. what, is it just by chance of the markets that the canadian dollar has aligned with the USD in the last ten years. is that where the Euro is headed as well?

you don't need one and only one named currency to have a one world gov and one world currency. The dollar IS the one world currency, I CHALLENGE anyone to prove otherwise, show me anything anywhere on this planet that is decoupled and safe from USD hegemony . And there is a one world government, but it has higher clearance level then the US executive branch

I'm sure all of our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen who have died in Iraq would firmly disagree with that statement/question.

Honestly if Obama had done nothing it would have been better than Bush being President. Unfortunately he has tried doing stuff (I guess that is part of the job) and it's not exactly "change I believe in".

I just don't think it really matters who is President anymore. It's who is funding the campaign.

You forgot his promise to have us withdrawing from Iraq by this point as well. It's ok cause there is a lot of things that he promised and hasn't done that I have forgotten about.

I was just on board with this one cause I thought that withdrawing would solve, or help to solve some other problems we have. I.E. deploying the troops to the Mexican Border to prevent illegals from crossing. Or deploying them to find someone, anyone, who may have had contact with Bin Laden in the last 5 years.  Are we even still searching for him? It would result in a decrease in spending as well since we are so far in debt.

So far many responses and not 1 good accomplishment.  Just waiting to see what Don Juan will come up with.
