Hey guys.

What do you do in a friendly league with essentially no $ at stake and you are commissioner and one douchebag dumps his only good players to another guy?  I am commissioner and have Veto power but god almighty they are friends and we are adults. I also happen to be leading and would look like a d-bag if I made a stink.

Yahoo has a "Can't Cut List" which helps with this.  Don't know about other services.

Thx guys.

Well

Problem 1. We are friends
2. This is done for fun and bragging rights. Do most sports and throw in zero or token cash. So if I make a big deal I look like a p r i c k.
3. Don't think it's collusion per say. Guy dumping is in last and has made one move and doesn't care. Guy taking players is a younger guy just tryIng to win but should no better.

Gonna leave it up to them I think getting too old to make a stink among friends over freaking fantasy. It's just the principle you know?

Solution.
1. Veto player dump
2. Block douchebag from trading again
3. Not invited back

Beer time!

Fantasy is series.  Don't invite them back, or next year impose a penalty of $20 if you dump your players.  I'm sure most of the people in your league think it's BS, as commissioner you should be speaking for the majority of the league, not necessarily yourself.

MEGA

Because you are concerned about looking bad because you are in first place, I can tell you are a comish with integrity, and I'm betting the other team owners know that as well and will respect any decision you make as long as it's for the good of the league.

I think you are well within your rights to explain the situation to the league, and tell the league that the players that were dropped are frozen and cannot be on any roster except the team that dropped them.  If transactions have been made already, I would reverse them and allow rosters to go back to how they were before the dropping occurred.  It sucks to be in that situation, but that's what the commissioners are for.  I'm commissioner of several leagues, and it just comes with the territory.  Good luck with your league, and it sucks that a friend of yours would put you in that position.

Thx buddy!

Yes. Totally agree it is lame. A friend invited a "friend" who decided to be a jerk. Disappointed in the other guy.

If I was out of the running I would have vetoed it without a thought. But since I'm in first I did not want to seem like a suck.

When I was in my 20s Playing these games before it was big I used to be a win win win guy but now just want to enjoy with buddies and trash talk. I know it sounds lame but i am a MAN now. Ha.

I would 100% lock the last place team for the rest of the season.  Only allow him to adjust his roster.  Since it's not for money then you don't have to feel guilty for shutting him down.  If he's only made one move the whole year then I guarantee he wont even notice he's been locked.

Simple....That owner is done with ever playing any fantasy sport again.
And if I was in a league where that happened...I would never go back.  My point being even though its a fun league i'm sure you have some solid loyal owners like yourself . Don't piss them off.

Or else you'll run the league into the ground.

As a commish myself....I have the final say
I'm no Hitler...We vote on most things...rule changes, new rules, etc.. It's a good thing because it gets and keeps everyone involved.

It's yr 3 of my baseball league and I've made mistakes  but i learn and move on.

Good luck.

Thx guys!

Yup. I did lock down the roster and won't be having him back. Just too weird to have d-bags around.
