#451 Posted: 2/20/2013 7:40:11 PM Keeper question for you guys, as I really respect this group's opinion. 12 team, 5x5 roto. We keep 5 players with no round designation. My choices:
Miguel Cabrera Joey Votto Jacoby Ellsbury Jose Reyes Jered Weaver Billy Butler Allen Craig Chase Utley Madison Bumgarner
Last year I kept the top 5 guys. I'm thinking about dropping Weaver in favor of a bat. Who you guys like? Thanks in advance.

I was gonna play Over 5.5 but I think the total should be 6 given the fact these two Avg 8 Goals Per Game L10 Games when they face each other, 5.5 looks to easy to me. Flyers put Voracek on LINE 1 with Giroux and they seemed to click and pounded out 7 G's so i think they get 3 minimum tonight.
im adding a few more plays in Hoops but just walked in and was running late..
im gonna send u a PM later on, wanted to talk to u about Fantasy Baseball and a few things
yeah that worried me too a little that it wasn't 6 but i almost always bet over between these two regardless and i was kinda liking the flyers to steal one but didn't have the nuts to bet em so i took the over... 1-0 pens right now... go flyers haha...

ellesbury and craig are two of the most underrated players in the league IMO... i know ellesbury gets lots of attention in boston but doesn't get as much national attention as he should, he still is so valuable to that team, especially now... manram can attest to that i hope reyes works out for the jays... hoping to see him running a lot on the artifcial grass.. you think this will help or hurt his base stealing numbers at home??

#454 Posted: 2/20/2013 8:57:19 PM Ellsbury needs to be Healthy, what good is he giving you 70 games ?
I would try and trade him.
@ Reyes: I would keep Miggy-Votto-Reyes-Bumgarner and see if someone want ellsbury in a trade before the draft, Bum's had B2B yrs with 190+ K's and I think with 2 straight years of 30+ starts he'll get his Era lower then previous yrs but I like him.
What position you Draft ? if u really need a bat try and trade Weaver to someone for a Draft Pick + a Medium tier Pitcher.
Im gonna start a MLB Office Pool on here but have it a "Buy In" of $25 bucks.. Do 2 plays a day and have All-Star Break Prizes and End of Year Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. i'll send out invites soon, would u be interested ? trying to get at least 50 people so its 1K in prizes |

I'll probably send another trade your way. I forgot what I sent you/what I originally wanted to send you but I'll figure an offer out.
seems like he is sending you some interesting trades lately...
I mean he would give up demarcus, lillard and iggy in a package for the right price... he gave you a few options... and everyone you got to keep harden in the process...
how about wall, unibrow, peko and ilya? and you keep jennings in the process? |

Ilya is outplaying that trio so I'm far from interested in sending him with 3 others. Plus brow is invaluable with the constant steals and blocks he gets on a nightly basis even in limited minutes. If they ever let him loose he's going to be great. So Harden and Brow are untouchable.
Iggy does nothing for me. I wouldn't trade any of those guys for him straight up. Lillard is a beast but he's just like Jennings and I don't need another one of them while losing out on steals.
Cousins, Hibbert, Mullens and Williams are the guys I like but you want too much |

#458 Posted: 2/21/2013 1:46:30 PM Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm going to try and trade Weaver for a pick. I'm going to keep miggy, votto, and Reyes for sure. The last 2 are up in the air still. It seems like every year my hitting is what kills me. I finished in 11th in home runs and 10th in RBI last year. I am a believer in filling up my pitching staff with second and third tier guys with upside. Pitching is so deep in my opinion.
I finished 3rd last year, so I will have the 10th pick in the first round.......... |

#462 Posted: 2/21/2013 7:05:01 PM missed a 3-1 College Hoops night by a bucket in Kansas-Oklst game, they shot 5-32 from 3pt range combined and even with 2 OT's it didn't hit.. FT's hurt also.
That Flyers-Pens Game was awesome last night.. Love when these two teams face each other and I hope they meet in the Playoffs.. Good call on the Over Usc..
