#651 Posted: 1/9/2012 9:25:19 PM I used to do it so much more I'd get like 9-10 boxes a year plus go to shows and what not trying to get more cards.
Now I just get Auto Photos and Mini Helmets mainly |

There is skill and way to feel the packs at places like Target and Walmart that let you touch the packs. Feel for jerseys and such.
I pulled a sweet card once with Jim Thome and Jim Schmidt double sided with pieces of their bats. Didn't sell it right away and then Thome was traded from the Phillies. . I imagine now its useless.
But now they put the cardboard in there. And to get the more valuable cards...you gotta go to a shop to get those brands.
And look to trade that card once he reaches the hall of fame. Nothing is better than a hot topic. Either death or hall of fame gets a guy in the news. |

I guess that whats makes it so much fun. If you hit a monster you can make 3x on your money on just one card.
My Cam Newton alone is worth 120.. The Gabbert is worth 50.
for the 3 boxes total i paid 115 + 10 to ship.
haha yeah, we pulled Jersey cards all the time but for every Kobe-Lebron we got we would get like 4 Luke Waltons.
We always said why in the world are they even making a Luke Walton jersey card hahaha |

The duncan was worth like 150 at the time
Pokemon. Ahhhh...the good ole' days. I "grew up" in that era and then it turned to Yugioh when I was in 5th/6th grade. |

They had them in when we did it. They make it harder and we would get fooled sometimes but it's still doable. |

#658 Posted: 1/9/2012 9:30:16 PM garbage i remember being at the card store and a guy came in a bought a box and it was no ordinary box. It was a "hot box". I guess sometimes the companies make these boxes and you never know where they are. Every single pack had MULTIPLE game used jerseys and autos. Was crazy to watch. |

Yea...I've seen them. $50 a pack for the one I saw because that set had a LeBron James rookie autograph out of 5. If you get it...that's a few grand. But that's if you get it. |

#666 Posted: 1/9/2012 9:41:06 PM Best cards i ever pulled.
Micky Mantle piece of jersey out of SPX. Yellow tint to the jersey with a pin stripe in it. Ted Williams piece of Korean War jersey out of Topps Heritage. I had tons more but those were the ones that stuck out.
This is the Ted Williams card but has Whitey Ford on it. Couldnt find Ted Williams

#674 Posted: 1/9/2012 9:46:44 PM There are only 10 of those cards so what are the chances one of those other 9 people posted it on the internet. Kind of crazy if you think about it. Jim lets hit up the card shack this weekend. |
