hmmmmmmmmm interesting to see what people think here....
I would say: 25% draft 54% season pickups 1% trades 20% luck

You can, but I think there is a CLEAR winner and loser in every trade. They just aren't worth it IMO.
I could have gotten ELI Manning in the $150 league, I would be top 3 in the league if I did and been the clear winner while NBA would have been on the bottom without him. I didn't make the deal and missed the playoffs.

So not true. Dont feel like listing the examples. Well just one. Eli for Brandon Lloyd . You make that trade not only are you in the playoffs you are still playing. People get so attached to their teams and even when ITS CLEARLY OBVIOUS the team NEEDS to make a trade they turn down every offer. A great waiver wire pick comes maybe a couple times a year. This year in football name them. Victor Cruz... Ill wait for the rest. There is no way in hell you can FIX a draft/injury mistake without trading. |

#21 Posted: 12/14/2011 11:22:04 PM I trade more than anyone in these leagues. Possibly Sparky. Most of the time its the 2 of us together. I honestly cant tell you the last time i missed the playoffs in any league and its not because i find gems on the waiver wire. Good drafting and trades get you there. More drafting. |

I listed that in the other thread.....that proves my point, I would be in the top teams while NBAfan would have been out.
Maybe I'm saying it wrong, but when you have a NEED, you can find what you need per say on the free agents without trading for it.
I do see 1 of the top 25 in as a waiver wire pick up.....Jordy Nelson |
