#1 Posted: 6/13/2008 12:50:17 AM Haven't had time to update record, and although I don't really want to see it right now, I will fix it up soon.
Tonight I'm leaning the Roosters. A lot of people on this board are loving the Panthers at the moment, but this is a statement game for them I feel, regardless of the players backing up.
Sydney Roosters (-6) @ $1.72 (1)
I'm also playing this now before it falls further:
Canberra Raiders ml @ $2.05 (2)
Wallace out, plenty backing up. This is a perfect opportunity for the Raiders to ambush a tired Brisbane side, just as they almost did to Melbourne a few weeks back.
Best of luck this weekend gents |

#6 Posted: 6/13/2008 3:26:39 AM I like the Roosters tonight, but not at that line. I would have liked the other side of 6 for me to touch it. Civo is backing up, and he looked dead on wednesday night.
Penrith do have points in them, so for this reason I am wary of giving up more then a converted try

I'm banking on all the NSW Origin forwards rolling their sleeves up in an effort to prove a point after Wednesday night. Anasta will also be determined to play well, as will Pearce now that Wallace is no certainty for game 3.
Freddy would be demanding a much more motivated effort than the shit they pulled out last week. I've been stung all year by teams who have rebounded after an ordinary performance, so I'm on the other side tonight
Having said all that, I was hesitant to lay more than a converted try as well. |

#9 Posted: 6/13/2008 4:42:26 AM I already liked the Eels on Sunday, but with Galloway and Tuika out for the Tigs, they look even better:
Parramatta Eels ml @ $1.90 (2) |

#11 Posted: 6/13/2008 5:11:10 AM I agree with you on the Roosters after being held scoreless you would expect a strong game from them. The short turn around situation applies to both sides its a little harder on the Roosters though. I cant see Penrith winning and when they lose they tend to switch off having an average losing differential of around 13. Only thing that holds me back a bit is Penriths ability to pull tries out of their arse at the back end of games for example last Sunday.........

#12 Posted: 6/13/2008 5:26:13 AM Interestingly, the line opened at -8.5, has risen all day to sit at -7.0 not long ago, and in the last half an hour has shot back up to -8.0....late money for the Chooks |

#13 Posted: 6/13/2008 6:39:23 AM I was just about to say how good the Roosters looked heading into the half against a Panthers side now down on troops when.....they get their pants pulled down right on half time. Freddy should be bitch slapping each one of them as they enter the sheds......
Looking good for the over norseman and I still think the Rooters get it done tonight. |

#17 Posted: 6/13/2008 7:48:33 AM Goes to show what good halves can do for you. Stats were virually equal over the park. Roosters were just able to offer more

#22 Posted: 6/14/2008 2:20:01 AM I wasn't going to play this game, but after stewing all day I've decided to. It'll be cold, windy and possibly wet in the shire tonight and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a dour game of football. The Warriors really have to produce something soon, and if Price and Tate back up, tonight could just be their night.
Cronulla still don't impress me and I don't think they deserve to spot anyone an 8 point start.
Cronulla / New Zealand under 41.5 (1)
New Zealand (+8) (1)
Tempted to play a bit of NZ $3.15 ml as well, not sure yet |
