#1 Posted: 3/1/2012 2:04:35 AM Hello lads, Storm fan from Melbourne here. Will be posting my plays and thoughts for each round of games.
First game of the round, basically throwing darts. Lotsa hype on Newcastle who are pretty solid at home. Dragons rarely get blown out I'm taking a chance on the margin. I think Knights win but not by more than 2 tries and is more likely to be a close one than a blow out. I hope

#3 Posted: 3/1/2012 3:03:45 AM Cheers mate, this is only my second year capping NRL week in week out. Didn't keep a proper record on ats/margin/totals for last season, although went around 75% su tipping last year and can honestly say I ended the AFL/NRL seasons with a nice profit, which I hope to repeat.

#4 Posted: 3/2/2012 12:17:23 AM Even if Knights did get up in extra time I'd still have had a loss seeing Margin betting is for 80 mins only. Had the right idea, but was a little unlucky.
YTD 0-1-0 -1u

#9 Posted: 3/2/2012 2:07:48 AM No Hayne or Tonga for the Eels, will be interesting to see how the Broncos fare without Lockyer, which I'm surprised to read on the game preview, Broncos haven't beaten Eels since 2004 without Lockyer playing.
Nothing fancy tonight, Broncos should cover and win comfortably. But being the first round, add the weather and the no-Lockyer factor it could be closer than expected.
Brisbane Broncos ML - 1u @ $1.57 (pinnacle)

Melbourne Storm ML - 1u @ $1.61 (pinnacle)
After some reading I think I'm gonna pass on Panthers and Doggies and just go with Cowboys in the last game.

#14 Posted: 3/3/2012 7:13:40 AM Cowboys you scrubs, what an appalling performance. Back into the negative and knocked out of the sportingbet NRL LMS in the first round, the shame.

#16 Posted: 3/4/2012 7:10:13 PM Roosters have a more seasoned side and have the wood over the Rabbitohs in recent history, plus Roosters seem to have been in better preseason form and will want revenge for losing the close one late last year.
Locking this in now in case I'm not around tonight. Hopefully finish off the weekend in the positive

#19 Posted: 3/5/2012 4:12:16 AM snake: sportsbet had ev lines for the whole first round, shame I didn't back Storm and Broncos to cover, balance would looking a bit better.
HOH: An Aussie in Detroit? Or a Yank with a preference for football without padding?

#20 Posted: 3/5/2012 5:20:41 AM Really caught a lucky break with that unbelievable comeback. Good to come out of the first week up, albeit a tiny amount. Had a look at the sides and seen how they're shaping up for the season, hopefully the coming weeks are a bit easier to cap. Will be wary of backing the Cowboys again!

#21 Posted: 3/8/2012 6:50:57 PM Tonight's plays. Manly too good for the Tigers despite two major omissions and Cowboys are an obvious fade after last week. Hopefully it's not a square one.

#25 Posted: 3/9/2012 1:02:13 AM haha covers is being a pain today
I have a friend in Lansing so I somewhat sympathise with Detroiters, being a Fitzroy Lions supporter, similar kind of history pre-merger. My grandparents were South Melbourne supporters, my family had the worst luck with AFL teams.
