Therizz stated that if one used the puck line for games over -180, that there will be only 2 additional losses. I am electing to go this route. But does anyone know exactly what type of puck line I should be betting on? I'm assuming -1.5 OT included?

Puckline = -1/2reg, -1, -1.5 but I think rizz was referring to the -1.5.

I am also re-starting the NHL DOG thread that TheEtrain started a couple years ago.  It's a chase system that saw decent returns based on the biggest dog of the day.  Nine times out of ten it's a +$ wager, which is a nice alternative to any heavy juice system - especially at the beginning of the season when linesmakers have a harder time judging talent.

I understand. There is money to be made here in hockey however. With that $1k bankroll I wouldn't use over $10 as my betting unit, but as always whatever you are comfortable with. If that was the case you'd be betting to win $10 on each of the 4 games tonight. With the odds I showed, your outlay would be $73 to win $40.

Just follow along and you'll get the hang of it. Ask questions if need be and somewhere here is sure to help.

In reply to the post above, mills2626,  I was very green when it comes to chase betting systems when I started with baseball a few months ago.
I basically had a bankroll of 1k as well, and for the baseball chases I was aiming to win $1 per chase to learn and get used to the methods, that way if I screwed up somewhere the losses would have been minimal.
I would advise doing the same until you have succeeded and been through some heavy chases so you don't blow it all.

Sounds like a plan

So are you saying to play the series until the team wins by 2.  What if they win the first game by one?  Series over or do you continue until you cover the PL?

Well that's how we like it, 4-0 on the day. Pitt, Bos, SJ and STL all win on the A game.

Next possible plays are:

Calgary 10/6

Nash & Van on 10/8

Ana, TB, Wash on 10/10

Carolina, WIN on 10/11

Record 4-0

Up 4 units

A: 4-0

B

C

STL still has 4 games to go so if they qualify on 10/5 they will be a double dip play. We treat this just like the regular system, they must qualify for the Opening game of the double dip. If they don't qualify for the first game they are done no matter how many games they have left on the home stand.

Hey Dan - apologies if I am incorrect, just checking the spreadsheet that was made up and I am reading that there could be double dip opportunities for Pittsburgh, San Jose, St Louis, and Boston on the October 5th.
Is this correct or am I way off?
Cheers,

You need at least 3 home games so you can finish a chase.  Only St Louis has enough remaining games on this home stand to start a new chase as a double dip.  The other 3 teams only have 2 remaining games on the home stand, thus they are not eligible for a double dip.

Thank you sir. I'm personally betting your top favorite system for games that include OT. Using your betting lines of .5 - .5 - .5 - .5, so up 3 units after 3 days. That system seemed to be a bit better than the regualtion system. Higher juice yes, but if you keep the betting units reasonable, it's ok.

Hey guys, registered just to post on this thread specifically.

Are we rolling with the Sharks tomorrow for the double dip?

Opener looks like it qualifies @-155

Thanks for hosting and tracking the system!

Nope, Sharks only have 2 games left.
St Louis will be a double dip play, they are -200 now.

Appreciate your reply...yes Dan after looking back through my results the last few seasons it dawned on me that the only profitable way was the OT fav system...so I am using that this season as well.....in the bad streaks of the reg system the ML always pulled through...most of the losses were fav wins on OT.....anyway I am going to go back a 4th year to see when the last 3 game loss occurred....cant find anyway the last 3 seasons..may run a 3 gm martingale chase....I think I could afford 2 losses a season and still come out with a good profit...but your right about one thing...keep the units reasonable ..as I said hope we both have a profitable season, I will be betting your A games ....

Officially plays are on the ML, but you can play any way you want.
Don't forget, this is to double dip.

STL wins on the A game of the double dip. They still have 3 games to go so if they qualify we have another double dip. I doubt they will as their next game is 10/9 against Chicago.

Calgary is not going to qualify on Sunday. Next possible regular system play is on 10/8 with Nash and Van.

Regular system:

Record 4-0

+ 4 units

A: 4-0

B

C

Double dip:

Record 1-0

+1 unit

A: 1-0

B

C
