Firstly I believed Blackjack is (or was) one of the more enjoyable and favorable games for the player. However its with concern I see more and more CSMs (Continuous Shuffle Machines) being deployed and implemented at Casinos.

A couple of questions for the more refined and experienced Blackjack players:

1. Since the introduction of CSMs, what has that done to the house' edge?

2. The Basic Strategy tables we have committed to memory....are they rendered useless now because of CSMs?

3. While I can't prove this I believe CSMs have shuffling algorithms that favour the house provided the dealer collects and stacks them a particular way. Is this the case?

Alternately to the above, does anyone have any strategies for countering CSMs?

Yes, Blackjack along with craps are two enjoyable, and exciting table games the Casino offers.

The introduction of the CSM has increased the house odds dramatically. and has worked against the initiation process, to the excessive limits where players are totally 'shunning' the Casinos using this system, very few, to the best of my knowledge, LV /Nevada Casinos engage in this type of Blackjack play, none on the strip, or Freemont St,,simply stay away (as many have), especially if you're a serious player, CSM is far from being employed universally, it is not the 'future' in Blackjack play, it is the innovation to house favored (unnecessary) greed by changing the original game, thus giving players no alternative other than to take their action elsewhere.

I beat CSM's regularly. I seek them out and actually prefer them.

And yes, forget using basic strategy. That is a waste against CSM.
