#1 Posted: 11/5/2011 4:31:39 AM What the hardest thing to do in hockey? Win a game on the road while playing on consecutive nights. While collecting data on the RPI system I don't play teams that play on B2B nights because they are losing, like CHI last night, even great teams as well lose to bad teams, like PIT lost to EDM and PHI losing to WIN. So lets run some labby lines and make money off these. There are 2 situations being a team plays at home and then travels for a game the next night and a team has 2 road games on B2B nights. As there are multiple plays some nights, we can set up a line or 2 for each situation.
Home-Road-Fade
20-20
Road-Road-Fade
20-20
Do it however you run your lines and if there is only 1 play on a night might as well play it on both lines. |

#2 Posted: 11/5/2011 3:35:47 PM Todays plays
Home-Road-Fade
STL (so play on MIN)
Road-Road-Fade
WAS (so play on NYI)
MON (so play on NYR)
So with 2 plays at the same time either start 2 lines or just place the same bet for both and fill in your line after the results.
There is not a play on BUF as OTT also played last night as well. |

I like it!
Did you happen to back-track this to see if it's been good so far?

There is not a play on BUF as OTT also played last night as well.
OTTAWA DID NOT TRAVEL THOUGH (back to back games at home is a filter for not to fade the visting team? if yes, it also worked last night with BUF

#6 Posted: 11/6/2011 9:16:01 AM No you fade the road team which was BUF so the play would of been on OTT but BUF won. Both teams played the night before so there was no play as both teams would be tired, you could say OTT would be less tired because they were at home but tired is tired. It's best to not bet on this situation as it's basically a coin flip. You want an advantage of tired road legs vs home fresh legs. How else would the NYI beat hot WAS? By having WAS on a B2B night. |

#8 Posted: 11/6/2011 10:54:01 AM I ran the numbers on this for the last 2 seasons.
Betting ON teams that are playing b2b went:
2009-2010: 218 - 234 +12.85 units
2010-2011: 225 - 251 +4.51 units
In 09-10 the majority or the profits came from home favorites, and in 10-11 the majority of the profits came from road underdogs.
I was unable to account for when both teams were b2b, as that would have turned a few hours of work into a few weeks of work.

#12 Posted: 11/6/2011 1:03:05 PM If they're making a PROFIT when betting ON them, then you would be TAKING A LOSS betting AGAINST them.

#13 Posted: 11/6/2011 1:24:49 PM You make no sense so if they went 75-102 betting on the road team then they went 102-75 betting against them. Thats almost .576% with labby that means
They are hitting over 70% so far this year, nothing else is hitting that high, plus using labby equals
Thanks for messing up my thread!!! |

Also your numbers don't mean squat since I don't bet when both teams are B2B...

#15 Posted: 11/7/2011 9:37:50 AM I checked all teams playing B2B this season. Didn't matter if it were at home or on the road. Their records are 13-28. (With the team they're playing having at least 1 night off)

This thread is about fading the road team on B2B nights. Start your own thread if you want to bet on the away team.
No plays today.

Like this system. Other than checking the schedule each day for each team, is there any site that has a list the teams that are playing B2B? |

#22 Posted: 11/10/2011 10:36:47 AM This would of been money if Renne played the first game instead of the second, should this be taken into consideration RC1?
These are still hitting at 75% for the season, so still in awesome shape.
Three plays tomorrow: Blackhawks: Road/Home - Record 2-1 on B2B
Oilers: Road/Road - Record 1-1 on B2B
Canucks: Road/Road - Record 0-3 on B2B

#24 Posted: 11/10/2011 1:51:52 PM I don't play teams at home, only on the road so Chicago is not a play.
So Fridays plays would be EDM and VAN. But as learned from last night when teams are playing the Ducks and Kings they will be a no play as the arenas are only 30 miles apart. We want plays like EDM where they play in BOS then have to plane it to DET for the next night. They need the inconvenience of the airport.
So Fridays play would, be EDM |
