Cardinals should be more excited and pumped up to start this series than the Brewers who will try to avoid a six game slide and their 10 th loss in 11 games. When the Cardinals manage to sweep this series vs MIL they will take sole possession of the divison.

Just as a side note for those people who want to lay -140 for the Brewers: Yovani Gallardo has a 1-11 career regular-season record versus the Cardinals. Yet the Brewers are favored here by -140. I see that Joe Kelly will make his first start since he hit the DL nearly 3 months ago. Do the oddsmakers really expect Gallardo to stop the bleeding for Milwaukee against the Cardinals tonight or this a trap line? I think the latter fits here.

Some facts that speak for Milwaukee: Joe Kelly comes back from the DL, Yadier Molina will not be his batterymate (since he hit the DL, looks like Tony Cruz will do the catching for the red birds) and that he lost his three starting at Miller Park vs the Brewers.
