How does the Covers little EDGE box justify saying the Cleveland starter has the edge in this match? The Indians got to feast on garbage to get into the playoffs.  They are in for a rude awakening.

I F'd up last night by taking TEX, because Ron Washington can't seal the deal in games of that magnitude, but got lucky that the under hit. Anyhow I'm going to ride the Indians win streak and hunger after not being in this position for a while. DRAYS are damn good but it stops in Cleveland

Danny Salazar stats:
65K, 15W, 44H in 52 IP, 3.12 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, & .226 BAA

Have you even seen him pitch? Definitely not garbage. Strikeout machine, he just needs to keep the walks down. I'm pretty sure Tito Francona knows what he's doing.

Starters have not been the determining factor in 1st 2 playoff games
Price was 1-3 w/ a 10+ ERA in his last 5 in Texas....WIN!
Cueto was 8-1 w/ a 1+ ERA in  his last 10 in Pitt....LOSS!
Cobb is 11-3 2013, 3-0 w/ a 1.16 ERA last 3 ...
CLEVELAND BABY!!!!!

Tampa Bay - 5                                    Cleveland - 3

Rays -112                                         over 7

Madden over Francona.  Rays steal game 1 in the Heart of Rock and Roll.  Too many Moneyball players on this Rays team to bet against them as of now. Maybe next game will be a different story.

Rays - Over

All hands on deck as far as pitching is concerned and I guarantee at the first sign of trouble, unlike Dumb Axx Washington the other night, both of this managers will go to the bullpen without hesitation…  The way Tampa Bay undressed the Rangers on Monday and who they’ve had to beat to get in this one and done game, in my humble opinion they should be heavier favored (at least -128).  Francona versus Madden….

Put me down for Cleveland ML (+101) AND Over the Total for three (3) C-Notes a piece please.  Thanks!

Wow... I was sure Holtnt was going to lean on Cobb for TB. Not going to bet it now. Clev should be favored instead the bookies know the better team and pitching today is Cobb with TB. Maybe a small bet on TB wouldn't hurt. You think a little on the RL at +180 sounds like a maybe also ? Why not. wth

UHQB,

Don’t let me change your gut feeling…  I was shocked Tampa Bay was able to whip the Rangers the other night so I could very well be wrong my friend...

I wondered why Terry Francona would send the mound to rookie Danny Salazar? ... The right-hander has thrown only 52 innings this season and has never faced Tampa Bay. His numbers are not bad but Alex Cobb has more cards on the table for the win. Tampa Bay has won four of six games against Cleveland. Tampa Bay will win the series in Cleveland in his last visit. Alex Cobb beat Cleveland this season, he threw 7.3 innings, no runs received.
Terry Francona, is following his role as pitching, Danny Salazar is the fifth pitcher in the rotation and he respects that. Clear to me very confident that his player and maybe he sees something in which we do not. It's a game of win or die and Cleveland season is played in one game for the hand of a novice.
After thinking it'll take to Cleveland.
The average players on the bases is very low in both pitchers, I expect a low-scoring game. Under is my best choice.

PREDICTION

TAMPA BAY 1 - 2 CLEVELAND

I think Terry Francona only plans to use Danny Salazar for 4-5 innings or until he sees him in the first sign of trouble. He'll have Masterson, Kazmir and Jimenez ready if needed. Hope he uses all of them. That would be a huge plus for Boston. I got that feeling that Alex Cobb goes the distance and shuts the Clev's bats.

To boil it down the gut says person and the head says Ray's. I do believe that Cobb and the Ray's handle the homefield advantage with their playoff experience. I also believe that Salazar pitches well with the home crowd behind him. A pressure game, good piching, don't see a clear cut side. However under 7 is the play.GLTA!
