I see Reds leading going into the bottom of the 9th and then the Cincy Pastry eating champ blows the save. Pirates ML.

Outside of Shin-Soo Choo, Cincinnati has been struggling at the plate…  It will be all hands on deck as far as pitching is concerned, so I like Pittsburgh to out slug the Red Legs…  Put me down for Pittsburgh ML (-133) for four (4) C-Notes please.  Thanks!

Liriano struggles vs the Reds...not really sure why they are starting him, but similar scenario to TB last night with Price.

But for some reason...Cueto on the mound for the Red Legs....I daknow...smelling an upset....

REDS ML / Lean Under

Made a large ML bet on the Bucs (-135), as well.
Reasons for my bet:  Pit has played much better baseball down the stretch.  I believe the Bucs now have the better lineup, and home field will be a big advantage.  Liriano's struggles vs. Cin do concern me, but I'm not convinced Cueto will be able to pitch great as he's done in the past.  Momentum, managerial edge, and emotional factors all favor Pit, in my opinion.

I don't see Liriano (8-1, 1.47 ERA at home) struggling against the Reds... All the key players of the Cincinnati lineup are null and void against him- Choo (6-31 with 10 Ks, BA .194), Votto (2-10, a couple of singles), Bruce (0-11 with 6 Ks)... If they're going to depend on Frazier, Heisey, and Ludwick, I'll gladly put my money on a revamped PITTSBURGH team with home field advantage and a taste of October after so many years...

Besides, Cueto chokes in the big games, and you can only bet on him at home and in an afternoon game.

After reading everyone's posts I'm really liking the reds. In these types of situations I think experience will play a bigger role, not taking away anything anyone has said about the bucs advancing and why, I think the reds will be ready to play while the bucs  will get caught up in all the excitement in getting to this point...reds ml

Cincinnati planned to start Mat Latos but scratched him due to elbow soreness and will instead go with Johnny Cueto, who has a stellar 8-2 mark with a 1.91 ERA and 0.89 WHIP in 13 career starts at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park. The Pirates opted for left-hander Francisco Liriano, who struggled against the Reds this season with a 0-3 record and 3.70 ERA in four starts. Pittsburgh standout Andrew McCutchen (.317 average, 21 homers, 84 RBIs and 27 steals) had an MVP-caliber campaign while Cincinnati star Joey Votto (.306 average, 24 homers, 73 RBIs) set a franchise record by reaching base 316 times.

I did pretty good earlier today betting on soccer, so I am going to put up some juice in order to buy 2 whole runs. Call it dumb or crazy, but I am taking under 8.5 for -277. Risking $277 to win $100.

Taking under 6.5 is scary regardless of who's pitching. This is a type of game where you gotta stress over each at bat. While I do think that both pitchers will be on top of their game, I am buying the insurance. I know it is a high price, but if I lose I will still be up $150 for the day.

Reds are currently +126 at Covers, an underdog.  Don't know what you're talking about.

Pittsburgh and those hot bats are going to give Saint Louis all they can handle…  They can beat everybody on that Cardinal staff except Wainwright…

At any rate, nice piece of work Pittsburgh and Over backers!
