NYY Barely squeaked by with a win today. I think they should have lost (IMO). Cleveland just couldn't score 4 runs (what's new right?). They had their chance today to win, they blew it. They Yankees didn't win, Cleveland lost. The Yankees scored a lousy 3 runs and traditionally after scoring only 2 or 3 runs, will come back and score their average 7.2 (Over their last 10) or more. So unless Cleveland is planning on scoring 7 or 8 runs (doubt it) then they are toast (again). I hate CC he's sloppy as of late, but he is doing "okay", and he is a Lefty (Cleveland does not fare so well against Lefties). But I will add, that on 5/29/2010 CC pitched against Huff & Cleveland won 13-11. Go figure! But tomorrow TOMLIN (Who?!!?) is pitching and the Yanks should have a field day with him. And I am willing to bet this is the guy (Tomlin) that is going to allow that 600th home run someone has been looking for....
But what the hell do I know! GL |

#4 Posted: 7/27/2010 2:49:51 AM Boy they are throwing this kid right into the fire! Starting him against the Yankees... On A-Roids B-Day. Well atleast the kid will be able to say he gave A-Roid a B-Day present.... Hiss 600th Homer.
"Tomlin will start for Cleveland after Aaron Laffey was placed on the disabled list Friday with left shoulder fatigue."
"The 25-year-old Tomlin went 8-4 with a 2.68 ERA at Triple-A Columbus this year. The right-hander is 51-24 with a 3.20 ERA in the minor leagues since being drafted by the Indians in the 19th round in 2006." |

#7 Posted: 7/27/2010 4:20:51 AM I agree that Indians had a better shot last night than they do against Sabathia here. But who knows, maybe Tomlin surprises like Gomez did recently.
I'm parlaying Philly ML and Yankees ML to get the price to normal juice..

#8 Posted: 7/27/2010 1:59:04 PM I will say, The Yankees usually start out slow with a pitcher they have never seen before. |

#10 Posted: 7/27/2010 2:29:03 PM Have to go NYY ML. The only thing that makes me nervous is the Yankee penchant for not hitting pitchers they haven't seen regardless of quality. Still, go NYY ML. |

Indians +210
The Indian organization would love nothing more to beat former Tribe superstar Sabathia with a first time starter Tomlin. I'll take a shot on the Tribe to play their fools off and pull off the upset... |

Wow! Big Balls Jim. I like it... Not gonna happen, but I like it. I figure Tomlin can do one of 2 things tonight. Come out there and play his behind off, get shelled like he will, get pulled in the 5th, take the loss, and just be another rookie.... or, go down in the History Books forever as being the pitcher that gave A-Roid his 600th Birthday Homer (It is his B-Day Today). I say he gives it up tonight...
But hey I could be totally wrong! But on a serious note, like I said above, The Tribe has their chance last night. This is Cleveland (41-58) they are playing. Not The Rays....
GL and much respect |

Not looking too promising for a Tribe victory according to those trends. There goes the colonel's beer money for tomorrow.

Yes I think the Yankees beat up on this kid but keep in mind the Yankees don't fair well againest young pitchers they've never seen, and that's a fact. |
