Pettitte is clutch, but doesn't have the stuff of years ago.  Hamels has been up down this season, but I believe he rises to the occasion here.
Nerves, poise, and focus being equal...Hamels just flat out has better stuff than Pettitte...PHILLIES ML..

The way both ptichers are tossing lately I gotta back NYY. Hamels has been getting hit hard while Pettitte is one of the best BIG GAME pitchers out there - ever. I think NYY can hit Hamles and hit him hard - look for Gay-Rod to have a monster game and NYY wins

well played, sir!

That being said, I will take Andy "the horse" Petitte  over Cole Hamels...too streaky & Unpredictable, stats are terrible in the post season.

Check this:
Andy "Big Game" Petiitte is the all time Wins leader in PLAYOFF HISTORY.
AND... in the last decade no pitcher has accumulated more wins than Pettite. (almost 100% positive on that stat per Dan Patrick).  Yeah thats not to say he wont lay an egg bc of age, but did you see his last performance?  And really did finish the season a lot stronger and more consistent than Hamels.

Yanks should cover this game, but ML @ -115 might be a safer play
Yanks win WS

...either way, this is going to be a damn good next 4-5 games

JUST IN....

Blanton is pitching Game 3 for Phillies, not Lee.

Did anybody else wonder what the hell Manuel was thinking by sending Lee out in the 9th, let alone finishing the 8th inning??

I think he doesnt trust his bull pen.

Major edge to the Yankees

Well, I've been saying value, value, value every day,  Now the Phils, who have showed that they can play with the Yanks, are home dogs?  Can't get much more value than that.  I guess there are just a lot of Yankee fans driving this price.

PHILLIES all day

New York - 6                        Philadelphia - 4

Yankees -115                        over 9

Risking $345 to win $300 on the Yanks & Pettitte

Also $220 to win $200 on the over

It all depends on what is getting called a ball and what is getting called a strike.  So far, the strike zone has been generous.  My guess is all time win man Andy gets more calls than Cole.  That means another low scoring game to the late innings.  The number, lowest of the Series to date, says Phil prevails.

Philly fan or not,Hats off to Pedro for pitching a superb game,
really sez something about Mutts inadequate organization...
The Knickerbockers of baseball...
And Hats off n' Canon salute to you Mon Colonel,
for that direct 2 for 2 Hit !
" For those about to rock...We salute you ! "
Think most would agree, Hamels has lost considerable edge since last year, whereabouts Petite has not.Hard to imagine Yanks not winning one between Hamels n' Blanton.
That said, Yanks tonight n '  doubling down tomorrow should B.pen fail tonight.

I had to sweat that one out ep.

I hope the bats come alive tonight in a park where routine fly balls turn out to be home runs (if the wind is blowing out).

Hey Colonel.  Heading to the game tonight and the forecast is for showers, some heavy at times, but it doesn't appear that the wind will be a factor.  What I do think will be HUGE factor is the temperature.  Forecast is calling for low 70's today here in Philly.  At the bank the warmer it is the more the balls be a flying out, especially to left.  GL either way you go.

World Series game 3 LIVE.. It doesn't get any better than that my friend.  I 'll be taking this one in at the track... Between betting on the ponies and keeping track of some big time games being played today. I'll be doing some drinking myself after all is said and done.

Good Luck Phil

I think the Yankees come into Philadelphia and knock Mr. Hamels out of the game early.  Yankees moneyline.
