OK Lee was stellar and pitched a gem; but now it is Pedro in NY...
All I have to say is...

"WHO'S YOUR DADDY, WHO'S YOUR DADDY, WHO'S YOUR DADDY"

YANKS COVER

Pedro gets rocked, by not only the crowd but the bats.

Lee is the only worry for he yankees, and 2nd time around, the bombers adjust and make him work.

But, I will give credit to where it is due... Hats off Cliff, well done, but the yankees will still take this series

Jeez, the line's too high for the yanks

Only reason I see it opening being high is there's tons of NY backers and will bet them no matter what, and that yanks neeeeed to win tonight at home.

WOW That was a Close one I was on the edge of my seat....

No really one word Domination..... Lee is incredible and put 6 up on the Yanks w/ the great Slobathia on the mound...

Tonight Pedro will give up maybe 2 runs.. Unfortunatly for you Yank fans Burnett will give up a few more...

Phills Win 7-2.....

I'm sorry I predicted Phills in  5. Might have gave the Yanks too much credit..  I hope Slobathia doesn't pitch anymore this series I don't know how the Phills will get to him ??

Much like yesterday's price, value remains high bettin' on Phillies. Yankee fans who wagered with their hearts ,I not one of them, better seek better options, rather than blindly doubling down vs. Old man Pedro.Reason is simple due to AJ Burnett, who's last outing was inexcusable in Warm Anaheim weather, giving up 8 hits n' 6 earned runs.AJ has always been plagued with control issues and timing could NOT be worse ,in cool weather, facing a Philly team that has spanked the ball since playoffs began and who are clearly more than capable of tatooing AJ .There lies the thin ice ,Yanks are walking on in game 2.Pedro's last outing ,in warm weather, threw 2 hit ball vs a good yet ineffective Dodgers team.Seriously doubt he'll make it through tonight without giving bunch of runs,as cool weather will play tricks on native Santo Domingo Old timer.
Manuel knows it,He knows it,hates to pitch in the cold and Yanks will make him pay,one way or another, if they're patient at the plate. As far as AJ Burnett goes, there is absolutely no way,Yanks should be this heavily favored with AJ on the hill vs. such a formidable offense. As for Yanks, losing Posada for AJ's personal Molina catcher ,not only takes a potent bat out of the line up but crucial WS experience that Molina does not have.
Yankee fans who were foolish enough to lay 170 vs. Cliff Lee SERIOUSLY need to consider putting pride aside vs. temptingly soft ,Old dominican Diablo.OVER is the better value play, considering pitching matchup n' potent offensive teams playing in Short porch stadium.

New York - 4                         Philadelphia - 3

Yankees -180                   under 9

Should be a back and forth series.

Wagering $180 to win $100 on Burnett....

DOMINATION seems to be the correct word.  Still no respect from Vegas.  Phillies ML +180, Over 9 Runs - Book it.

Agree to a tee Mon-E.And from the fox den..Kudos on the pig-skin..For the record..Posted records are for those that are lazy or have minimal memory...As for the dream...I too was once asked to memorise what I did not understand; and with my memory being so good, it refused to be insulted in that manner..Usted es una riqueza de conocimientos....

This is not going to be a pitching duel according to we Lay....In fact, this game is going against the grain, thus breaking an ever so flimsy resistance level and heading north well beyond the
figure quoted...Lay-people say...

Lee threw a phenomenal game.........everyone like that backhand grab?

I would take the Spankess but there is no value @ -200?Yankess have to be pissed off and /or embarrased. Not seeing that happen tonight.  Like most on the board. I am leaning over but the side I might leave alone.

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!

One win and the Phillies fans feels like the master of the Universe, a dinasty of baseball.

Cliff Lee was brilliant yesterday a beast, but this is it all they have, Pedro Martinez? He was a a great pitcher, WAS. This is 2,009 with a huge bag of injury problems the Phillies give him a 2 chance of his life to pitch in a WORLD SERIES! Bad move, not against the Yankees.

Vegas now who is going to win today, a -205 line looks in the paper to high. A Phillies +170 is to tempting for people with soft brain to think this is "the value" play.

Phillies could win the World Series with Cliff Lee, but they will not win today, period.

Philadelphia Phillies left handed power bats against RHP A.J. Burnett plus the prevailing winds in right should be enough to score over 3.5 runs. Weather shouldn't be much of a factor, a cool 54°F come game time. Phillies handled Dodgers bullpen so I dont think thell have a problem with the strong Yankees bullpen. I just hope i dont need Mariano Rivera to give up runs for the win. Having said all this I don't know who will win, Just hope I get Phillies over 3.5 runs with my share of 27 outs.
