This seems so obvious for Minnesota...  even if Morneau misses...  but there must be another side.

Tigers being pretty abysmal on the road, one win ,if that,
would seem to go with the flow as Detroit's road show nears the end. Houston~Oakland and Minny.. That is one hell of a tuff road trip,especially ,quite appropriately,finishing it up in the Baggie mausoleum.
Looking at the frenchy angle, there's always that possibility
for a new comer to impress. Does anybody knows if this guy's had happy moose huntin' days in Minny ? College,family,wife ?
Kid you not ,these are elements to consider.
Though in this situation,sense between Figaro and French
that front office may simply be showcasin' for possibilities of a blockbuster deal.Tigers do seem in dire need.
The obvious here, Twinks should kick Tigres ass, even a loss today would not be worth sweatin ,armed with Cojones or whip with option of doublin' down through this series vs. road weary tigres.Money management the key with none panic button around.

French is not bad, he does not give up HR's to much and he could keep them off balance for a few innings because they have never seen him. He may be worth some action because I think that something could be wrong with Slowey. They have been giving him way to much time in between his last 3 starts which would indicate some kind of soreness or inflamation. It is not good for a pitcher to not throw every 5 days and he has been averaging 7 and he got knocked out in StL in a short time even with rest. Division games are the best ones for dogs as a rule for me. GL

Slowey is easily the worst 10-3 pitcher in baseball.  He is extremely lucky and always has great run support.  This guy may be the first 20 game winner with a 5.00 ERA.  This is the second time Detroit has faced him this year and I think he gets knocked around.  He is at the end of his quality pitching cycle(Evidence of last start) and will probably have a couple more bad starts before he improves again.  French will pitch decent, I think the story is going to be Detroits bats against Slowey.

Minnesota has (again this season) been really good at the Metrodome.  They've also been doing a fine job of beating up on Detroit.

The Tigers don't seem healthy.  They're certainly out-gunned in the bullpen dept. of this series.  In every facet of the game, they look over-matched.  I won't be surprised in the least, if they get swept.

Think I have to agree with you Unit, I looked deeper and all of the Tigers that hit Slowey well are in a slump or not even in the lineup. I sometimes get tunnel vision looking for Dogs and miss the obvious. If you are going to play this game, Minn would have to be the pick.
