#2 Posted: 1/26/2013 1:43:55 AM Im interested in this line. True line should be okc-6.5 in this game. Im guessing this line opens at okc -2 though. The lakers beat a terrible road team last game and will garner some unwarranted respect. Okc doesn't wanna see these guys in the playoffs and will go for a knockout blow in this game. I expect an okc rout. |

#3 Posted: 1/26/2013 1:48:13 AM Im hoping the public puts alot of stock in the lakers last game. This was the exception not the rule for this team. They faced a team with no point guard and no shooters. A team that didn't even try to expose nash like every other team that has pummeled the lakers this year has. . Westbrook will have a huge game in this one and that is where the lakers demise will occur. If you can't stop the ball it breaks down your entire defense, pay close attention to that matchup in this game, westbrook will be in the paint early and often which will lead to wide open kickout threes, ibaka layups, and easy putback attempts. |

Ok City has two wins this season over LA Lakers. The margin of victory in this series is OKC -10.5 Over/Under average 219.5
Analyze this game and there are enough elements to OK City beat back to LA Lakers. However in the last visit OK City to Los Angeles. The final close line was: OKC -6 (in LAL home) result final: OKC by 15 points over LAL. In this game the opening line is OKC -3 (Las Vegas) Current Line OKC -3.5 / -4 Why open low?... I detected black hand in this game. I like LA Lakers.
Pick: LA Lakers +4 |

#16 Posted: 1/27/2013 11:16:56 AM I hate taking a team like the lakers here claiming NBA conspiracy. Although I do think that it goes on to a certain extent play it safe and go under. |

#17 Posted: 1/27/2013 12:17:52 PM For the conspiracy people...this is OKC's 6th road game in a road. That is factoring into the line. There is no "black hand." Long road trips knock down the value on most NBA teams. However that being said, if anything you are seeing value on the Thunder.
The Lakers play 0 defense and now are playing an offensive juggernaut that just won't quit. Not saying Lakers have no chance of winning (that's why they play the games.) But they are not going to give out the true line when this team is on a long roadtrip.
Personally I don't think it will have an effect on OKC vs these sad Lakers. OKC did also beat the clippers pretty handily in the same arena earlier on this road trip. LAC is a playoff bound, good team. Unless they lay an egg today, Lakers can't hang.
But don't get me wrong, they play the games for a reason. Lakers as a +3.5 dog aren't necessarily going to just lay down and take it. But to say the Lakers win because this is a "trap game" or whatever is just foolish. Long road trip, the Lakers do have talent, and finally have all their players healthy and playing together.
Moral of the story, take OKC or just don't play it. Lakers could certainly cover but all the value is on OKC. Line too short to consider Lakers. |

i think the public is fully bought into the 'lakers are a bad team' mentality and are actually pounding okc today. you have the same people who said you wuold be crazy to bet the lakers vs the jazz saying the same thing here...i think the lakers win this one tbh |
