A classic Laker letdown tonight! Kobe's finger will give him some trouble tonight. Jump on the Jazz
Classic?? very interesting choice of words for the 15x nba champion/ reighning nba champion. The same team that is 18-3 and has won 11 straight. I think you were thinking of the LA Rams, not LA Lakers.

Have to remember, Lakers have the best record because they have the easiest schedule, playing most games at home and against crappy teams. Remember when Lakers when to Denver house and got stomped on. Utah Jazz home court is no different, it will be tough. Even the Magic lost to Jazz. I'm taking the Jazz.

Hard game to handicap. From my experience Kobe playing injured hasn't affected his numbers much. I would be more concerned how rested Bynum, Gasol, and Odom because Lakers/Jazz games are won in the paint.

exactly what Mikado said, good analysis. sorry if i didnt explain that in my earlier post. there's also more emphasis on kobe's fracture than there should be. hell, im sure bookies are trying to lure bettors to lean jazz + being at home for just that alone.
on the line is also the best league record, which i highly doubt the lakers would want to tie with the Celtics. kobe's a perfectionist, he'll try to not make that happen. GOOD LUCK to ALL. ill be watching this in HD.

Like the Lakers more as the game nears. Too much emphasis on Kobe's injury. Looks like the Lakers big guys got enough rest in the 2nd half last night. I try to handicap home court advantage between 3-5 points depending on location and the rest the teams have had. If you asked me last night what this line would have been I would have said Lakers -3.5. To see that Lakers are now doggin' it on the verge of making history... well let's just say you won't find many games this season where LAL is going to be underdogs. Also from my experience, you bet on the Lakers, not against them, they have a knack of beating the spread by .5 a lot of times.
Not going to say this game is a gimme, it's more like a coin flip. Utah is a talented team but their depth doesn't get as deep as the Lakers do. Injuries in this game could be a factor, but Utah is most likely to be affected by it. Kobe plays well through adversity, while you probably won't see a banked 3 to end the game, he will still play his A game.

the lakers plus points to anyone is usually a solid bet id say jazz play well at home yes but the lakers kinda own them and yes 4 road games thus far somehow(3-1) record pretty decent id say

i guess noone pays attention anymore...Utah will win tonight easily...the books play this little game by offering a certain at such a low line that it generates ridiculous amount of money..yes the lakers are streaking but theyve also been at home for the last 9-10 games..anyway there out on the road playing b2b in UTAH where its no cakewalk..but hey donate your money....Lets get em Utah backers

All the Utah backers are still failing to give me any kind of facts or evidence to prove their point of view. I look to these forums as a tool because there are sometimes good posts that further your reasoning into a pick.
So far the only good thing someone has said about Utah or this game is "everyone thinks the Lakers are invincible." While yes that is a lot public opinion backing them as they are highly favorite to go back and repeat, they Lakers have been winning games for a reason.
Sometimes it's not the players you have to look at, it's the coaches and referees.
Boozer may get into early foul trouble and if that is the case, then I don't think Utah's chances are that great to win.
Phil Jackson is obviously trying to accomplish a goal by winning tonight in Utah, against a team he is very familiar with.
Lakers 4-1 in playoff series last year. 1 loss in Utah by 2 points... and a blowout in LA a few days ago.
