Hey BBLV dont be afraid to lay the 5.5 Bost will kill them. The Lakers did the right thing and won for sure against Tor. Bost will Kill them as they are running on empty. Andrew is a catystrofic loss for the Lakers and Bost will show you why tommorrow.

Since last years playoffs, the total has gone over 3 times, 2 out of 3 times the game was in BOS and the total went over 204, in LAL it stayed under 204. So thinking this time around it will be OVER in BOS, KG back which means they will be scoring more and LAL is all offensive team.
Spread
Another tough call, last time LAL was in BOS they were humilated with a 39 pt. loss. Also people saying LAL have no chance without Bynum, but are quick to forget that LAL didn't have Bynum for whole 2nd half of reg. season and playoffs last year. And LAL was still able to make it to the finals. I say LAL try to make up for the humilation loss from their last meeing in BOS and put up a strong effort. But BOS still win by a basket or two.

I am not a Joe Public capper but you have to take the Celtics in this spot! I know Garnett was sick but I am not convinced there wasn't an extra day of rest for the kid in preparation for this game. I do not play totals so no opinion there but lay the chalk and I actually predict reverse line movement in this game. I think public will take the 5.5 by end of the day and that the line will still move up to 6-6.5. Celtics!

Lakers played their hearts out last night for a win against the craptors and should have dead legs tonight. Celtics with an extra days rest, and Garnett back from the flu( I am sure he is still not 100% however) spells doom for the Lakers. Celtics by 9 tonight!
Lakers are 1-8 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
Lakers are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Boston.
Celtics -5.5

I don't know how Boston doesn't win this game by 8 or 9 points, if they don't run away with it outright.
Without Bynum in the middle to alter those lay-ups they had in the finals, L.A. is going to have a really tough time on defense. Doc Rivers said as much. It's not just the blocks Bynum had on Christmas day, it's his shot-altering presence in there.
I actually think the Lakers might still have a slight edge with it's 2nd unit, but so far on this road trip, no one who's name isn't Kobe or Pau has offered a ton of help.
I'm trying to play devil's advocate and see it from the angle you brought up Cash Flow, and even Kobe mentioned it's a good opportunity to see how much better the Bynum-less version of LA has gotten since that 39 point blow-out.
I just think Boston's going to have so much momentum in this game, and the motivation to remind the Lakers of just who the defending champions are that loss on Christmas, that it would really take a herculian effort by the L.A. to stay within those 6 or 7 points.
I really think Boston wins by 8 or 9, if not double-digits.
As far as the total goes, I'd lean towards the over in a less cautious game than the first one.

you look at that and you go hmmmm . . . Lakers and 7 points?! when do you ever get that?
Don't do it.
If the Lakers play the way they did last night, and even against New York, they're gonna' get rolled tonight.
The Lakers can be surprisingly good, even the other guys not named Kobe, or Pau, or Bynum even, but collectively, they really did have to come from behind last night to get that one and it wasn't until the last few possessions that they got some stops, on D and you can just see when that happens, against a weaker team, that that team gets tight and feels the pressure down the stretch.
Boston ain't doin' that . . .
Especially not tonight.

KG had flu didn't play last 2 games and Celtics didn't cover both times He will play tonight Lakers w/o Bynum
Game on national TV so Kobe will play hard, get his 35 but it won't be enough. Rest of Lakers looking tired and slow last night vs Raptors, meaning no defense.
Lakers minus Bynum are the Kobe/Gasol show. Last night they shot combined 25-45 (55.5%) and took 50% of all of the Laker attempts. They still barely beat the Raptors, who lead most of the game. (The final score is not indicative, since it degenerated to fouling and hoping for 3s)
Problem is Celtics play defense so unless the Laker outside shooting contributes a larger percentage the Lakers are doomed.
Taking Celtics -5 (buy down insurance) and maybe the under at 205
