The Dolphins play well against NE @ home. I got them as a play @ station casino contest.

Tough first game of the season for the Dolphins. The O-line for the Dolphins last season was horrendous giving up over 50 sacks. Some of the sacks were also due to Tannehill holding on to the ball too long. The O-line is better this season not great but a little better. With the help of Bill Lazor Tannehill looked much better than last season as far as making better decisions and getting rid of the ball quicker.

The Dolphins really need to establish the running game against the Pats to open up the passing. The duties will be shared with Miller and Moreno. Moreno played one pre-season game this season due to injury. He did look solid in that one game but I'm still skeptical about him.

The Dolphins defense tackled terribly in the first game of the pre-season but did improve in the games after. I'm hoping that they fixed that issue. The strength of the defense is in the d-line the linebackers are about average at best.

Sturgis has been nursing an injury and barely played in the pre-season. I'm not sure if he will be a 100% in this game but if this one comes down to kicking a winning field goal I would be really worried.

Anyway the Dolphins did beat the Patriots once last season so I'm hoping they can do it again in this game.

My bro DRd would probably disagree with this but...

GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

"The Patriots are 4-3 against the Dolphins on opening day."

"but dropped the rematch in Miami on Dec. 15, 2013 with a 24-20 loss."

"But the Patriots are only 15-34 all-time in Miami, including two postseason games."

Watch out NE.

Things can get awfully hot and humid in Miami this time of year. I'm talking on the field temps close to a 100 and nasty humidity. Not to mention, it's week 1 and these guys haven't even played a full game yet. Should be a division dog fight and quite a test of endurance. Miami was a tough out at home last season and didn't lose a game by 4 points or more all season (until week 17).

I can also tell you that New England prob isn't looking forward to seeing Knoshown Moreno again. He carved em up pretty good last year w Denver. Maybe that's why the Fish picked him up?

I think I'll take the points on the fish in this home opener. I'm hoping for a good game and 5 points is just the right number to get me on the home dog who won this matchup last season.

Just remember...it's week 1,
You don't have to bet big to have big fun.

Absolutely can't wait for this game! A very hungry Pats team that have much to prove. The feeling around New England feels pretty good this year. The boys are ready for another run.

Miami is 2-5-1 ats and su the last 8 games on opening day. They always open up on the road so that explains the record but even then the only two games they hosted at home  have been losses. Several years ago Patriots trounced the Dolphins at home on opening day 38-14. Now not saying history repeats itself but if the Dolphins run defense has improved from last year and if they can get the running game going they may have a chance to make this close. Most of all they need to get pressure on Brady. How's the Miami offensive line looking this season? Will the new look Miami no huddle offense they've talked about doing be an effective strategy?

I'll give Miami the benefit of the doubt that they can try and do what Buffalo did last season and almost upsetted the Pats. Funny thing is Tom Brady has covered and won every opening game in his career except when playing against Buffalo: I think 0-4 all time.

I want to give Dolphins a chance. It's a make or break year for Tanehill. Need a good home dog to root for. Then I just remembered...
Revis Island. Remember that game against the Bucs, the interception at the end that costed you a win Mr. Tanehill?

Aurite brother I'll supply the pig for the BBQ. Good luck on your Pats wager brother.  I don't see nothing juicy this weekend in college and too early for pros. I'll rest this week and hang with the family

I usually abide by the "Don't Bet Against Brady/Belichick" rule, but man, Dolphins plus the FG cushion is looking pretty tempting......

I figure everyone's gone and different, who's Brady going to throw to/hand it to? Other than Gronk, and maybe Amendola, would any of these guys even make the practice squad on any other team? Dobson? LaFell? Bolden? Slater? Who?? But then again, who has he EVER really thrown to?

Sorry Big Daddy - I just can't do it, my wallet's not letting me..... Belichick once again keeps his deal with Satan......

Pats -3.5

I know the Fins play them well at home but their O-line is crap....I can't ride with the Fins in this one especially with Brady getting his boy back.....I don't see the Pats playing down to their opponent this week

Brady is questionable? Just saw this news on NFL Network but theyre saying he's most likely probable, plus Gronk will be rusty not playing any preseeson.
