Saint's defense has been promising the last few and Hawks don't allow many points at home.  I'm seeing a lot of punting and fg scoring here.  Take under 47.5

Short passes and lots of run in order to limit the risk of turn overs?
Conservative playoff football?
R U telling me that losing that kicker could cost Saints this round?
Lol. They can over come ol'man winter and mother nature but losing that kicker was just too much?
Isn't 8pts a little much to handicap against a QB like Brees? 3 would've been closer to expected, no?
Any chance this spread might baloon up to double digit or is that too much to hope for?

This should be a real good game to watch. Saints did beat an Eagles team that were not quite ready to win this year.

I see the Saints playing a lot closer this time after all I would definetly have a bad taste in my mouth after what Seattle did to them.

This is a tough one, but I think Seattle will squeeze out at the end after a hard fought game by Saints.

Seattle to cover
Best of luck to all!

Seattles defense will not allow Bree's to make any plays. The stadium will be loud and as a seahawks fan, Carroll all year has been focusing this team for the playoffs. The moment is here and there are simply tooo many weapons on offense and a complete defense on Seattle. Factor in the 3 of the starting defenders on the Saints are all injured, Seattle for sure wont have trouble scoring and our defense is good for a pick/TD/fumble....

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS -8

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: 41-28

Seahawks Large...don't overthink it....at home...2 weeks to rest/prepare, and the seahawks played them very well a couple months ago.

"Philly had 32nd ranked pass D...Seattle has #1.  Seattle will be able to stop the run game without much trouble since they can bring more players up to stop run.  Saints have 25th ranked run O....they're not very good running the ball anyway.

Let's also not forget that Philly are horrid at home and Seattle has best HFA in the league!"

I remember Jake Delhomme going into the same building and tearing the seahawks apart.  True different team and different defense, but if Cards can win there, why not the saints.

Seahawks were flag whipped in that game.  Add in a kick off return by Seattle that was a result of the return man knocking the ball out of his hand by his knee!  First and ten Zona in the redzone... And after all that Seattle had a chance to win but had a pass hit the ground and bounce up to be caught by Zona.  Replay showed it hit the ground, but the forces that be said "no", which ended the game...unreal.

Seattle on a mission, not even the mighty 49ers will stop them.

Seattle was #1 in defense last year and #9 in offense and Atlanta scored 30 on them. Not sure rankings will matter in this game. Last year Wilson threw for 385 yds and lost.

Least amount of turnovers, better 3rd down conversions and the least amount of penalties win this game. Remember, all the experience rests with NO. Russell Wilson hasn't won anything yet and Lynch has only averaged 66 yds / 3.5 yds per carry in Dec. That's not going to do it.  First week both young QB's crapped the bed. May have two more this week.  Drew Brees doesn't rattle. Hope its a good game......probably 7pts or less.

HFA does mean something in the NFL during the playoffs, especially in Seattle but vs top 10 defenses this yr , Seattle barely scored 20 / game while scoring almost 30 / game vs the rest of the league

NO +8 - The Saints may not win and seem to have a chip on their shoulder for being dubbed a bad road team.  But with a decent game vs. the Panthers in week 16 and last week's road game, the Saints should keep it close if not outright win.  SCORE: Saints 20 - Seahawks 24

In the NFL it seems like it is fixed.  When you think SEA will win at home because they have a very good record at home they lose.  When you think NO will lose on the road because they have a very bad record on the road they win.  SEA lost to ARI at home and NO won at PHI.  NO lost at SEA earlier this season and will make adjustments.  I see a closer game this time.  How close I do not know and nobody knows.  I like SEA ML and NO +8

As much as I dislike the Seahawks, I just don't know if the Saints can pullout a win here..

I just can't see Saints getting blown out by 27 pts again and they'll be prepared this time. But in the end, I could see Seahawks barely covering the spread.

I think Marshawn Lynch will be the wrecker and have a big game again not quite like he did against the Saints last time they met in playoffs but something similar. Last game the Saints focused mainly on stopping him, he got 16 carries for 48 yds...But I just don't see that happening again. Somehow Russell Wilson beated them through the air..

I just don't know about this one. Saints winning on the road in Philly still hasn't convinced me but I do see the Saints being more competitive in this one.

2nd time N.O.playing Seattle at Seattle this season, getting blown out the 1st time, with Seattle
Defense putting alot of pressure on Brees, but this is playoff time, and I expect the Saints
to make this game alot more competive and cover the spread.
Saints plus the points!

Saints were in a divisional sandwich the first time they encountered the 'bags. It showed. Don't pay it too much notice, their worst loss of the year and there was a very good reason for it.

Seattle D is tough, I expect a low scoring game and that is the best wager on this matchup. Saints just can't get too aggressive against this #1 defense. They'll have to matriculate the ball judiciously.

With NO D much improved this year, they don't have to rely so much on Brees and Co. NO running game won't have it so easy against this defense.

Bags HF plus superior D gets them the W in a close one.

Saints +8
UNDER 46.5

almost forgot, but the forecast will be rain. i don't know how much that will affect the margin of victory. does rainy games make the games closer? will it be a sloppy, time of possession battle in favor of Saints or will the rain + crowd noise affect the Saints?

i don't know how much that affects Brees and Saints heavy passing attack. i'm sure it will have some effect. looks like they will have to balance their attack and run effectively with Ingram and Khiry Robinson if they are to have any chance.

i might just take the Saints based on the weather affecting both teams. still not sure.. Seattle wins by 7 pts. maybe..

i got the under when it was at 47 and didn't realize about the rain. in rainy conditions, i just can't see both teams scoring over 20.  i see a 24-17 type game.
