Carolina are looking to bounce back and carry momentum into the playoffs and welcome a surprisingly live Jets team to Bank of America Stadium. The Jets will need to win three straight to ensure a playoff birth, something that is possible but demands a rare road win (1-5) against an elite Panthers team off of a critical loss to the division-leading Saints. New York enters this one off of a shocking shootout versus the mediocre Raiders. Mind you, Geno and the offense will certainly bring rhythm and momentum into this must-win game. Expect the both of out of both of these teams in a gruelling physical contest in which the run game will be prevalent. The Jets possess a good run game but the Panthers am even better run defense. Throwing the pigskin will not likely work out either as the Jets are bottom of the league in that category whereas the Panthers lead the league in its denial. New York will run the ball with moderate success, but not enough against a team likely gameplanning to stop just that. On offense, Carolina's elite rushing attack will be stifled by an equally, if not better rush defense. However, Carolina are a well-balanced team and barring key turnovers or big plays on special teams, they will prevail.
