Alright! 2 to 1 payout if the Packers score 5 TD's on the Bears. I'm a Chicago resident, I know my Bears. They have no pass rush, their linebackers are replacement level and their pass defenders are banged up and getting on in years. If you give Rogers time, he'll kill you. I wonder what the over under is on Lacy for yards rushing. He is going to get a lot of carries and he won't be stopped by this hapless bunch.

Outside looking in, interesting perspective, may be spot on...

Green Bay easily wins SU, but I feel the cover is in serious question. That being said, it is hardly an endorsement for Chicago...

The best bets here are the OVER and GB ML. The GB ML is obviously not worth the trouble...

These are two teams that are putting up an average of over 30 pts per game, both on the season and in the home/away scenario. Green Bay is at home, with a healthy quarterback and a #2 ranked offense vs Chicago's #26 ranked defense, now without Briggs. Green Bay has the running edge, both offensively and defensively, BUT... both pass defenses are severely lacking (ranked 19th and 26th).

As a result, I believe the ball will be put in the air more than what some might be expecting, and scoring for both sides will not be too much of a problem...

So, I am actually going to make two plays, both 7-pt. teaser parlays: Chicago +17 & Chi/GB +44 and Green Bay -3 & Chi/GB +44... Both at -130.

I agree…  Briggs being out is HUGE as the Bears looked terrible against Washington on the defensive side of the ball when he left the game.  Also, Tillman is listed as probable, but how long will he be able to go…  Rodgers CAN have a field day against that Bears secondary if he so chooses, but I’ve learned over the years it isn’t wise to take Rodgers laying more than a field goal when the majority of the public is counting on him to cover so……………….

Packers - 10
Under 51

A 6pt teaser of these 2 bets is a virtual lock, and pays close to even money!

Mistake #3, and "T.O." and "Ochocinco" style diva Brandon Marshall? Mistake #4.....

Why, you ask?

Because the Bears are not a high powered offensive team. Never have been, never will be. It's always been ground-and-pound, "Monsters Of The Midway", let the defense manage the clock, take FG's if we have to, manage the game, and then, maybe, throw a couple of passes to mix it up a bit.

What the Bears need is a game manager - look, you made it all the way to the Superbowl with Rex Grossman for God's sake!!! Just take a look at what the Ravens are doing, because you're both set up kind of the same way. They have 2 Superbowl wins since moving here in 1996 - and who were the QB's? Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco. Not exactly "gunslingers" now, are they.....

Now, having said all of this, is Josh McCown the answer? I don't know, but I'll tell you this - he won't be throwing 5 FRIGGIN' PICKS EVERY GAME!!!!

Lastly, let's say McCown is the "Game Manager" your team desperately needs, and he rattles off the next 4 games which might be tough because it's Packers, Lions, Ravens, and Rams. Or even if he goes 3-1. Now Cuntler's coming back from his "Vaginal Cramps" - do you pull McCown????

I guess only time will tell.....

Now, to this game - Bears rested, had time to get McCown "indoctrinated", Packers offense beat up, Monday Night Primetime division rival......

Bears M/L - - you heard it here first.........

Good Luck All!!!

note to self ... never listen to a thing "thequadyeah" has to say about NFL... I also stopped reading about half way through... probably worst NFL write up ive ever read on this site... not sure you could write a worse one if you tried....

Going by past trends means nothing other than a pattern you are betting with. Patterns change often. So have fun with that.

By the way, BREAKING NEWS.....Just got some inside info....CUNTLER IS GOING TO BE PLAYING TONIGHT..........................................................................................................................'lol I'm kidding.........

20 MPH would be factor in certain stadiums depending on architecture n' proximity of ocean ,lake ect. ( Meadowlands ,Soldier Field,CandleStick) Worst to my knowledge.
Nothing that will affect vet A. Rogers pass happy attack figurin'  to exploit Bears soft secondary or affect Bears figurin' to stick to conservative run n' screen attack.
Will have more impact on field position battle + Special teams : Advantage Bears.

Quad is actually a very good writer, and supports his arguments with facts. Too bad you missed the denouement because he set it up well. Maybe it's that Poe influence around Halloween  that figured into his writing...although, this time around he'd probably write: Hark, the Packer, NEVERMORE!

How come kickers are seldom mentioned on this site? Is there a live blog for this site, where we can comment about our picks during the game?
