For all you statistical history believers - it's still the Seahawks on the road. A squeaker at Carolina? I'm thinking if the Texans are salvaging this season, and want to be taken seriously as a playoff contender, winning this game is PIVOTAL

Gimme the home dog +3.....

Extremely hard to back the Texans with their porous defense.

You guys need to stop reading the papers.  Porous defense?  Rivers looked like a stud on the stat sheet with his 4 TD's in the first half of the S.D. game that were more do to turnovers and some key special teams play that gave him crazy good field position.  He was held to 183 yards passing with 2 sacks and a pick.  They ran for 80 yards.  Tenn kept it close with Houston's offense sputtering but the Texan's def held them to 129 yards passing  with 4 sacks and 119 on the ground (33 carries) and if you watched the loss to the Ravens, an interception return for a TD and a punt return for a TD won that game for the Ravens.  Allowing their defense to put pressure on an injured offensive line since they had the lead.  Their offense was held to 161 through the air and 75 yards (31 carries) on the ground.

Don't misunderstand, I am a Houston homer, but would not take them against Seattle only getting 3 points.  I wouldn't take Seattle either though on the road against a Defense that is playing extremely well (not porous.)  This has under written all over it.  I can easily see a game similar to the Seattle/Carolina game.  Two strong defenses and two offenses that have yet to find their stride.

Just my 2 cents.  I'm leaving the spread alone and rolling with the under.

I am surprised Vue's machine isn't flashing a "wrong chalk" alert!!

We all know how good Seattle is and Vegas does too. But IMO this is not the spot to take Seattle. In fact, I would say last week when they were laying 20 at home was a better situation to take them than laying 3 at Houston. I think the Texans embarrassing loss to the Ravens is creating some value on the Texans, who were favored in every single game at Reliant Stadium last year.

Its widely known that Seattle has the best defense in the league, but the Texans have been under the radar with the 2nd best defense in the league (based on yards per game). They were also one of the better home teams last year, going 6-2 at Reliant Stadium and outscoring opponents by an average of 30-20. Last week, the Texans were embarrassed by the Ravens, but it wasn't because they were overwhelmed by the Ravens offense.

Last week the Texans held the Ravens to 75 yards rushing and 170 yards passing and still lost 30-9. Well in that game they committed 14 penalties for 113 yards, they went 0-2 in the redzone, and they uncharacteristically allowed an 80-yard punt return for a TD.  Not to mention, Matt Schaub also threw an early pick-6 that gave the Ravens an early lead and got the crowd into the game.

I expect a much more disciplined and motivated team to show up at Reliant Stadium this week. I think the Texans have the defense to knock the Seahawks off their perch.

Seattle 20
Texans 23

I see Seattle making a statement here and winning convincingly.
Houston was a train wreck last week in Baltimore.  Real tough week to bounce back even at home.

Seattle -3

I’m on board here W8…

Houston got smoked last week against a rebuilding Ravens squad, now they are facing the best team in football and only getting one (1) point in chalk…  Sounds to me like the Wise Men in Vegas know something I don’t, so I will take their word for it (the Houston ML +100 speaks volumes as well)...

With that said, put me down for Houston ML (+100) for two (2) C-Notes please.  Thanks!
