Carolina is a young team and a young team would like nothing better than to smack around a Super Bowl favorite.  Carolina at home with Cam Newton in his third year with a stellar defense and the best linebacker in all of football, this Seattle team could be exposed. Give me Carolina +3 and the over 45.

I think the "Sophmore Slump" will hit Russell Wilson hard. Much like the Wildcat a few years ago, Michael Vick's run first/pass second, "Tebow-Mania", or even the hot new read option look the 49ers are going with, defenses will adjust, and hype will be softened.

No "Replacement Refs", no Golden Tate "miracle catch", Seahawks will end the season 5-11, and all will be right in the world.....

If you are sober and in your right mind you'd go with Seattle point spread 110%

You read my mind.  Everyone is underestimating the Carolina defense.  Carolina was 10th in total defense last year.  I am pretty sure the Panthers had this game circled months ago.  I believe Newton will show up big time and just overwhelm ONE OF THE OVER HYPED NFC WEST TEAMS.

This is one of those home dog outright win situations. This game means an aweful lot to Newton and though the season may not pan out as they would like overall, these are the games he needs, especially @ home...Sea just may be thinking a tad too much about SF next week...Car for the win!

Carolina is no match for this powerhouse! Seahawks will feast and ball hawk on Newton all day! Russell Wilson is a freak of nature -- his unmatchable work ethic this offseason will be shown on fine display. Sophomore slump? You got to be kidding me. Seattle to the bank!

Overhyped Seahawks??  Overhyped NFC West?  Somebody doesn't have a falking clue about 2013 NFL.  What has Cam Newton proven in the NFL???  He can kinda run but can't pass for squat and is injury prone.  The Carolina Panthers will be the ones lucky to finish 5-11 behind the Saints, Falcons, and probably the Bucs.  We are talking about a perennial loser in Carolina.  Seattle has been solid, for the most part, for the last 10 years. The road was the Achilles heal for the Seahawks last year, but that will change.  Seahawks -3.5 for a couple dimes.

I think Panther fans can expect a very similar feeling to Raven fans come Sunday.

I think your a HOMER and can't wait to laugh at your pain come Saturday. Seahawks D will not surprise the league this year. Teams have studied it and will have already found ways to beat it. Russell Wilson will make mistakes for sure. Carolina's D looks to be very solid and I look for Cam to have a big day. I'm fading the public and the hype here and going with the CAMolina Panthers +3.5

Alright sure. Regardless of what happens be a man and meet me in here after the game Sunday! We'll see who is laughing at whoever's pain.

I'm predicting "Seahawks defense and special teams outscores Carolina's offense."

Okay I just ran through the matchup:

QB: Seattle
RB: Seattle
WR: Seattle
TE: Carolina
OL: Seattle
DL: Carolina
LB: Seattle
Secondary: Seattle
ST: Seattle

Seriously, who are you going to take? Can anybody give me a solid reason as to why Carolina is the pick here?

whoever thinks panthers will win are not smokin weed they are on smokin serious garbage like crack. No way in hell cam newton is good enough to beat sea.Listen sherman will pick him off all day long n he will fumble trying to run when he cant find anyone open. The run game is only deangelo washed up williams.running game will be lycnh running all over the place n wilson scoring pts too. Sea will win convincingly not even close. SEA 38-17
