Oakland - 21                                      Indianapolis - 16

Raiders                                           under

Pryor a QB from the Pittsburgh area, that's good enough for me.

Oakland - Under

Luck will flourish in his college offense with his offensive coordinator from Stanford.  The Raiders are playing for the #1 pick overall next year.  Pryor is not ready to compete with the opposing teams 1st string defense.  Indianapolis 38 Oakland 9

I know pics. The Colts will not lose this game. I was just hoping back in May that the Raiders would make drastic improvements. It didn't happen. Unless Matt McGloin is their secret weapon. lol

All bets are off on this one.

I remember January 25, 2003, it was happy day. It was the day before Superbowl 37. The Raiders were going to win the Superbowl and beat Jon Gruden to boot, SWEET!!! Happy times for a Raider fan like myself.

Fast forward to year September 2, 2013 and I have to ask myself, when will Gruden lift his curse!!! Come on Jon enough is enough already!!! I have endured some bad Oakland Raider teams over the past 10 years and all I can say is, THIS team is worse than last year.

At least last year the Raiders had a talented tight (Myers) and a QB who, while he couldn't throw the deep ball any longer (Carson Palmer) could at least accurately hit the tight end. .

Now, we've got two QB's who can't hit the broad side of a barn and no tight end. If I were a defensive coordinator, why wouldn't I simply put 9 men in the box and dare Pryor to pass?? When they don't pass, tackle McFadden until he gets injured, it should take longer than the first half.

The Raider defense didn't get any better this offseason.  The Colts overpaid to upgrade their defense.

I really think this one is gonna get ugly.

Indy: 30

Raiders: 16

Stop making picks in May. They are ridiculous.

MAY, JUNE, JULY if your a trend bettor it really doesn't matter. Marc Lawrence publishes a book and makes picks for the whole year based on trends. Capish

I'm on Indy as well.... Ill lay 2 TDs to be honest.

Indy has created quite a homefield advantage with luck.  Bradshaw can only improve that run game.

Really? All of you feel this strongly about this one? I'm in the LVH Supercontest & I was thinking about using this game (gotta have my picks in by Fri 5pm PST) but the line moved from 7.5 to 9.5 and that is where it is at for this week in the contest...  thelvh.com/supercontestweeklycard anyway... so far I feel good about 4 but I'm still looking for #5.

Seems like Oak is hoping for a redux of the Sea thinking last season.Get Flynn as your starter and go with the mobile guy and have success...... nice try but 'NO'....INDY blows it open in the 2nd half.

Its kinda crazy to see the amount of improvement Pryor has made in his game in 1 years time, he is a top 5 athlete at his position, his size and deceptive speed are tools that make him dangerous at the QB position. There is a new vibe around the Raiders this year, they have been working their tails off, and no one has been working harder than their leader Pryor. If you guys want proof, watch his highlights this preseason and compare them to last season, its amazing and clear to see the difference in his confidence level. I still think the colts offense will be too much to handle, but Raiders will put up a flight in this one. Colts by 8, 28 to 20.

AJK, as a Raiders fan myself, I really would like for what you said to be true. I really would. I really HOPE I'M WRONG. I really do. But,well lets see what NFL.COM says about Mr. Pryor.

[QUOTE]

"Terrelle Pryor will be the man under center when the Oakland Raiders open their season Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

It's a decision that speaks volumes about the Raiders' current state. Pryor has little experience and clear deficiencies in his game. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this hasn't escaped the notice of people inside the Raiders' building.

During a Wednesday appearance on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access," NFL.com's Michael Silver said there's "a lot of skepticism" about Pryor being the starting quarterback in Oakland. According to Silver, Pryor has an ally in Raiders owner Mark Davis, who would like to see what the third-year pro can do.

Pryor was Al Davis' final draft pick before the late owner's passing in October 2011. Would it be surprising if Al's voice still was a deciding factor in Oakland?

Pryor won the starting job almost by default. Matt Flynn was unimpressive before being sidelined by another elbow injury. Rookie Tyler Wilson stumbled all the way to the practice squad. Rookie Matt McGloin isn't an option.

Or is he? According to Silver, there are voices in the organization who believe McGloin gives the Raiders the best chance to win.

McGloin, we'll remind you, is an undrafted, completely unheralded, rookie. These are dark days, even by Black Hole standards.

[ENDQUOTE] Source http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000238455/article/terrelle-pryor-doubted-inside-raiders-organization

And I watched all of the Raiders preseason games.

Game 1, Cowboys 17 at Raiders 19

Terrelle Pryor     6/10    88    0    1

(Not exactly setting the world on fire.)

Game 2, Raiders 20 at Saints 28

Terrelle Pryor     1/5    9    0    0

(Wow, almost 2 whole yards per attempt. I guess I should be happy since he didn't get intercepted.)

Bears 34 at Raiders 26

Terrelle Pryor     7/9    93    1    0

(Yeee haw, a TOUCHDOWN. In his THIRD preseason game! Break out the champagne!)

Raiders 6 at Seahawks 22

Terrelle Pryor     3/8    31    0    1

(Oh. Back to reality.)

So, lets add that all up, thats...

17 of 32 for 221, 1 TD, 2 INT

Exactly what part am I supposed to get excited about?

I took the Colts for 16 points (the max amount) in the office pool this week.  I love the Raiders (I know it doesn't sound like it, bt I do), but $50 is $50 after all.
