9ers beat the Ravens in Prime Time last season.
Changes since then

9ers have Moss, L James and starting Kaepernick

Ravens have Pierce, Doss and minor changes on D

Ravens haven't faced a mobile QB yet this playoffs. Don't consider Luck a threat to run.

9ers already won in the Superdome this year against a very talented Saints offense.

Ravens won the game last year....

I remember because I took the second half Ravens because they were winning the battle in the trenches....

I used my winnings to buy a flatscreen at 3:00am on Black Friday opening at Target!

These 2 teams are a mirror image of themselves, and with that being

said,I can only go one way,and that is taking the Ravens plus the points.

This Raven team is a much balanced team on both offense & defense, then what they had been in the past, which was all defense.

Flacco has finally come into his own,and I am confident with that strong arm,and the rushing of Ray Rice, the Ravens have a balanced

attach on the offensive side of the ball.

I know the 49ers have a top rated defense, but the fact of the matter is,in the last 5 games, that top rated defense has given up a average

of almost 29 points per game, and that concerns me if you are siding

the 49ers.

I know Kaepernick has really been a spark for the 49ers,but to ask

what is basically a rookie QB with only 7 games of experience,to go

into the biggest game of his life, and te the 49ers to the promised land,I think is asking alot.

The smart play in my mind is the Ravens, who I actually expect to win

the game.

Can Kaep match his previous performances?...i'm leanin that he will. I haven't pulled the trigger yet and may bet Baltimore if i can catch a +6 or more here in Reno at the Peppermill. they opened at +6.5 but i missed it yesterday.

Agree. Ravens aren't even in this contest except for the worst Ref Crew in NFL history, and coaches tellin Peyton to run the ball instead of quick pass for 1st down to end game. Kaepernick is a two-edged sword unlike Brady who needs to stand in the pocket. Ravens will have him and Gore to cover on runs as well as passing which will wear them down quickly.

Flacco hasn't been the QB we've seen in recent years, he hasn't slung INT's or fumbled the ball ... not sure how long that can last?

That bein said, i do think the Ravens can keep the game close so I'm waitin on a -3 then will buy a hook to 2½ just because i hate Pushin on FG's. But, like you if there's a swing to 9er's and i see 4½+ will swing to takin +5.

Must admit, i was shocked how poorly the Pats played. Brady slingin dirt-balls, and little to no pass-rush to keep Flacco off-balance? What were they thinkin?!?

After capping for a couple days I'm finding this game pretty tough to figure out. If it was a regular season game I would be staying away but since its the "Big Game", don't want to get sued by the NFL, I will just go against the public. 49ers -4 and over 48.

Championships are won by defenses.  Clearly, the Ravens have proven, (especially on the road) that given the opportunity, they have the ability to turn the ball over, and give it back their offense.  That being said, both teams enter this SB as Big Play teams, on  the positive side of the ledger. As I said, clearly the Ravens are the better defense in this matchup. The offenses of both teams, are competant, but not spectacular. Again, I give Flacco, the slight edge. Flacco, the pocket passer, has the edge, primarily because he tends to throw 40 plus yd strikes down the field, and has the deep threats to haul them in. Inspite of his "homerun" tendancies, he still maintains a comparitively low INT ratio. SF's Kaepernick is exciting to watch, especially IF he can escape from the pocket. As teams like Seattle, and Atlanta, have shown, if he's contained in the pocket, he's a little less explosive. CK likes to dink and dunk down the field, mixing in run plays, to sustain long, time consuming drives. His effective throwing range is usually within 25 yds. And just like Flacco, he's when pressured, he can be sacked. If the Ravens have a weakness, it is obviously on special teams, as witness by 2 huge returns by Denver. As both Wilson,Rodgers, and Ryan have shown SF "D" can and has been burned by the long ball. If the 49 er's are to win, then it has to be by constant pressure on Flacco. Flacco has tendancies to fumble, when rattled in the pocket. They also need to have huge returns on special teams to set up possible SF drives by CK.  If San Fran D allows time for Flacco to go deep, it might prove to be a long afternoon indeed. Also the reliabilty & range of SF's David Akers is highly questionable, and will probably be the undoing of the Niners ,in a tight game. IF Flacco & Rice don't fumble, and the "burners" connect on Joe's bombs THEN it's all over for SF!

BALTIMORE    + 3.5( Prime Play!)

....YOUR wrong, Frisco loss last year 16-6.
....I called it earlier this year that Haloti Ngata will take out RG3 and he did.  RG3 is byfar a better mobile throwing/running QB than Kaep.  Balt loss that game by 3 when Cousins came into the game.
....Frisco won in the SuperDome because Brees threw 2 pick six. A 31-21 victory against a team that was hit with suspensions is not impressive.

......Baltimore's defense will not give up the easy points nor the big plays.  Flacco has 8 td's and 0 int's in the playoffs.  Any QB that throws 8 plus TD's with 0 int's in the playoffs, won the Super Bowl and MVP.

I am actually a SF fan and hate BAL but I want to win.  I love BAL D. They put fear in the opponents mind. They knocked out NE Ridley. They got NE receivers hearing footsteps and dropped passes.  They get turnovers and give the ball back to their O. Ray Lewis cannot off the blocks but still got 45 tackles in 3 games because Ngata and Suggs are getting double teamed allowing Lewis to run to ball free. Defense wins Super Bowls and BAL D will at least keep the game close.

Both D are good but have been giving up a lot of points. SF gave up big plays and TDs. BAL D is a bend but dont break D giving up long drives.  Both D have been giving 30. This game should go OVER.

BAL +4 and OVER

SHUT OUT yes say it again so you understand completely SHUT OUT NE in the entire 2nd Half. Oh that's right S.F is the best team in the league ... Boldin will over power the D Backs of S.F and ray rice will control the tempo. Flacco will open up and play first half like he did 2nd half Sunday and S.F will be down by 7-10 at halftime in a low scoring game then Rice/Pierce will control the 2nd half clock and Boldin/Pitta will get key 3rd down pickups and before you know it Flacco drops a bomb or two to Torey and it's over .... Anyone that says the defense is slow and weak can kiss my a$$ because Lewis has led the GAME in tackles in every postseason game he's played in this year and will continue in the SB victory. He'll get his 15 tackles 3 for loss and all the SF fans will be well they got lucky or refs saved em or any other excuse they want Flacco is playing for a contract and immortality here and Kap has plenty of time to get his Flacco has more Road victories in the playoffs than any other QB of ALL TIME. hasn't thrown a pick yet and has 8 TD. give credit where credit is due don't hate the ravens they are hot right now and with emotion riding high, beating 2 hof QB defense playing well flacco doing what flacco needs to do to get max contract and get monkey off his back. this will be close game but in the end you cant stop momentum

so would it be correct to say (based on your analysis) that you are predicting a score something like...

Balt 58  SF 3

yea this is shaping up to be a very lopsided Super Bowl matchup... as we get closer to the game, there are only going to be more and more people falling in love with this line... could literally be close to 80% betting on the Ravens...

I think the Ravens rough up the 49ers. Lewis' last game, he's going to take off some heads. The Falcons should have beaten the 49ers, the Seahawks should have beaten the Falcons.

If the Raven WRs catch the ball like they did last week, they will win easy, and they get points.

ice4blood you really need a role model or a hug or something because reading between the lines isn't your strong suit. stick to bagging groceries or serving fries with big macs. no the score in my mind will be in the 31-24 range. i think it's still going to be close. a 2 week layoff to prepare is a lot of time for schemes and opposition. both teams will score but big play by balty will be deciding factor. again in my opinion im not a psychic by any means ... all of us are just stating opinions based on our own calculations and factors noone knows the final score for certain until the clock hits zero and then everyone plays the I SHOULDA BET THIS WAY GAME or I KNEW IT WAS GOIN TO HAPPEN THAT WAY. BS in my mind but let people believe and bet the way they want

Did you know that Las Vegas opened @ SF -5?  Now it is down to SF -3 1.2.  It is their plan so they can have money on both ways, also they know that San Francisco will win the game.

The first Harbaugh vs Harbaugh was on Thanksgiving Day 11/24/11.  Baltimore won 16 to 6.

I'll wait until the line goes down to -3 or -2.5

Locked in under 47.5

Going with crybaby Ray Lewis and the Ravens.
49ers should've loss that game against the Falcons!!!
Cant see the 49ers defense stopping the newly found passing
game of the Ravens since they couldn't do it against the Falcons!
Hate both teams! But business is business!

Ravens +4
