So for the people that say the Ravens defense looked great last week I will say yes the score was kept low but that was because of a lot of mistakes by the Colts. Far too many drop balls & mistakes in key parts of the game. Other than that the Colts put up 419 yards & controlled the ball for over 37 minutes. Peyton Manning & the Broncos are much more efficient in the red zone & tend to put up a lot of points. Yes Ravens defense is back but they're not 100% & many still playing hurt. Broncos are for the most part very healthy & rested plus they have more momentum than any other team.

Chargers went up 20 or 21 points against these guys, and they don't have nearly as many weapons as the Ravens do. This game will be decided by less than a fg...Once Pollard, or Reed lays one of those receivers out, they'll stop running their routes so sharp, all the while frustrating Manning. They have no run game to lean on and, the Ravens know that. Baltimore is hungry, agressive, and good enough to win this game. Broncos better not come into this one thinking they've already won, they will surely get their lunch brought to them. Experience wins this one. Baltimore 24 Broncos 23

really?  that's a fascinating perspective... good luck backing the Ravens this week...

you probably should have also paid attention to the part where i said i hoped the Ravens would beat the Colts, so that i could pounce on a betting opportunity that comes along about once every 5 years in the NFL...

That was a divisional opponent & teams in the division always play each other tougher. That would be like me saying even Charlie Batch beat Baltimore. Ravens do have a good offense at home but it doesn't travel well. The Ravens average 32 points @ home but only 18 on the road. Denver averages 32.5 @ home & only once this year have they scored less than 30 in the Mile High City.

Like Phor20 above, I think the solution is a teaser.  You are right, the ML bet is too much risk for the reward, but Denver at home as a Pick is solid to me.  I also think the Patriots at home as a Pick is a great play.  Now I am down to which bet do I put with these two?  I am thinking the Ravens +20 is a strong play, also might consider an Over on the Houston/Patriots game.  Or Seattle against Atlanta with around 10 points to go with that defense.  Just have to decide the third leg of that play.  Love to hear any input.

Divisional opponent or not, the AFC west sux! Oh I guess the Raiders and Chiefs played the Broncos well too? Get out of here with that nonsense! Baltimore went into Kansas City and into San Diego and beat both teams, thumped the Raiders! So the divisional game rhetoric is obsolete! The Ravens are a quality team that will play well, and win the game. Denver is a good team that is more than beatable, just like any other team in the NFL. We shall see tomorrow what team decides to show up. Good luck everyone.

Denver - 9 over Baltimore!

Must look for Peyton Manning (4659 YDs and 37 TDs) to cover the spread in this one!  Broncos 11-0 straight up last 11 games, and 4-1 vs. spread last 5 games!

Denver holds a + 13 point advantage on offense and a + 5 on defense (total of + 18) over Ravens' last 3 road games!  And Baltimore now only 1-5 vs. Vegas spread last 6 playoff games!

Denver 6-1 vs. spread last 7 playoff home games!

Peyton Manning now 9-0 vs. Baltimore last 9 games!

Weekend 4-Team "Straight Up" Power Plays:

Denver - 9 over Baltimore (buy down half a point)    Small Play

Green Bay + 3 over San Francisco (buy half a point)    Large Play

IF Break-Even or Profitable on Saturday:

Seattle + 3 over Atlanta (buy half a point)    5 Times Large Play

New England - 9 over Houston      Medium Play

i don't really bet totals... but i can tell you, from a pure handicapping standpoint, the only totals play is the under...

Baltimore will struggle mightily to score points in this game... 3 or 10 is basically what you're looking at for the Ravens point total... if it's 3, you'll win the under... if it's 10, you'll still most likely win it...

this will be a blowout, but i don't think it will be a 45-21 type of blowout... more like a 31-10 type of blowout...

How can you say your love for the Broncos run deep and in the same remark like Baltimore's chances of winning? C'mon man... Did you sell your tickets to the game as well becasue it's going to be a little too chilly for you outside ?

Manning is and has been on a mission this year. This team is a real threat. Moreno rushed for 115 yards against them a few weeks ago and Manning toyed with Ed Reed... Ray Lewis is back, i get that, but he's not the same Ray Lewis. He's a shell of his former self, much like that defense. The Colts moved it well on them all day last weekend, just couldn't get it into the end zone. Mr Manning and the offense will not have that problem tomorrow.

If you've got a big bet on one game and a small bet on the other Saturday, how could you "break even"????

That was the score 1 month ago, that'll be the score again. Yes, Ray Ray's back, big tearful retirement - but he already played his final home game..,... So much camera face time, seemed like it was "In Memoriam" already. So, that was it.

Plus, I just can't pull the trigger against Manning at home, just like I can't against Belichick & Brady.

Good luck everybody............

Temp was 53 degrees in thatgame. Tomorrow forecast is 20 degrees. I say under looks really good.

Denver has yet to play in 20 degree weather and it's 10 degrees lower on the field. There will be a lot of dropped passes and Manning has been known to have problems throwing in the cold freezing temps.Ask the Patriots about Manning.

No, you were right the first time. You forgot to take into account the 20 degree temp by game day. Freezing temps wreck havoc on offenses. This will be a defensive battle with Rice & Co.

I don't think this point has been hammered enough.....

I 100% agree.... Baltimore is no cold-weather team.... but their running game is an advantage in my opinion....

Brady is the only qb, and maybe Farve, who has defied the weather lol

Call me crazy but I think the layoff hurts some of the momentum Denver had going in. Denver pulls it out late with Manning but definitely  no blow out.

Looking back at both teams schedule I am going to use the road games at. Cinn.  to go with Denver.Baltimore didn't cover as a 5.5 pt. underdog while Denver covered as a 5 pt. favorite. It may be silly but to me it adds up to a 10.5 point Broncos cover.

Yeah Peyton struggled early in his career on the road. Everyone likes to refer that he's lost cold games in New England but that was a long time ago. All 3 of Peyton's losses in playoff games below 30 degrees were on the road & the last one came in 2004. Don't forget the Peyton has beaten the Ravens 9 straight times!

1st time poster.....normally just follow w8lifter but figured i would throw my hat in the ring.  Denver has played no cupcake schedule.  they played pitt., @atl, hou, @ne, @cincy, @car and @balt (that game wasn't even close other that late junk time tds by balt.,granted balt was short handed).  Denver had some bumps in the road early.  which can be expected with a new QB and new offense. They are clicking now and defense is playing lights out.  Denver averages 30+ at home.  IMO balt has to rely on the run and  they cant keep up with Denvers fire power.  hope W8 is on my side.  Denver BIG.   $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
