BENGALS WILL BE PLACED UNDER ARREST ON FRAUD CHARGES AFTER EAGLES DISGRACE THEM TONIGHT. OH WHAT SHORT MEMORIES PEOPLE HAVE ABOUT HOW STINKY BENGALS USED TO BE AND STILL ARE A LOUSY FOOTBALL TEAM. EASY WIN FOR EAGLES.

I like the Eagles to cover here, and probably win. They are at home after two straight road games, having a chance to get some things together without pressure from fans at home. Andy Reid still having his job, means that the Jeff Lurie  is considering or already has decided to keep him for his final contract year. The Eagles owe Reid 5 million next year, and given their unwillingness to go out and spend $ on players should translate pretty well to Reid actually earning his final 5$. I believe the players love Reid as a coach, and he is given the ultimate respect from all his peers. The loss of his son at training camp coupled with all of the injuries  has put a damper on the whole season, and I see there being a very good chance Lurie keeps him next year. I just think he would have been let go earlier. With all that being said I see the eagles riding their momentum into this game tonight, because they want to keep their jobs and their coaches job going forward. according to the spread, I think +4.5, + 4 is a little high for them to be underdogs at home after such a big road win for them.

One week ago, the world was on Cincinnati.  So after one loss, they aren't worthy of a wager.  Give me the Bengals -4 against the same Philly team no one would bet two weeks ago.  Nothing has really changed.

Sammy made a good point about Andy Reid not running the ball enough, you know who else didn't run the ball enough last week? Marvin Lewis. BenJarvis Green-Ellis had 3 straight 100 yard games, but only had 12 rushes last week for 84 yards, or about 7 yards a carry. Why he didn't have more touches rather than throwing to a bunch of receivers dropping the ball is just another example of a head coach who doesn't make good decisions. Cincy should win this easily and cover the number, but Marvin Lewis doesn't play to win, he plays to not lose. That's why no lead is safe with Cincinnati, and they're open to blow the cover giving up backdoor points. They are definitely a bet at your own risk. I doubt I'll bet this game, but if I did I'd tease Philly and the under. GL everyone!

In a game where  the Philly players merely show up to get their paycheck, I have the Bengals winning & covering. Cincinnati  28-21.

CINCINNATI    - 4.5

A lot of posters have questioned my audacity to state the Eagles will be merely showing up "for a paycheck".  Yes- granted, the Eagles played an inspired game and won against a pretty decent Buccaneers team. But that win was only only achieved after a very, very, very long winless streak. And nefore that win, there was alot of underachievement, bad coaching strategy, poor defense, and a rash of injuries. Now I'm sure that that win is relief to many and a repreive to get the proverbial "monkey off my back" situation. However, one win does not neccessarily turn the season around.  I am reasonably sure, that just like the Eagles were highly motivated, the Bengals are also motivated about the prospects of making the playoffs after a long drought, of watching the postseason at home. So here we have it: the moptivated team due to job security issues or the motivated team trying to make the playoffs. There can be only one team. That team is the Bengals- with better skill and the more likely chance of executing that skill into a win.  If anything, I unfortunately see a possibilty of a letdown by Philly, for finally winning one!

Phi has had the tougher sched last ten opps record 66-64

Cin last ten opps record 54-76

with that said Cin last five wins and covers SD OAK KC NYG JAC opps record is 20-45 and 12-40 if you take out NYG

What that says to me is that Cin wins and covers against bad teams...Phi is a bad team. Going with these numbers Cin -4

Cin 24-16

It is gonna be a long night for Nick Foles, CinCin is a sack machine. After finally winning a game after losing 8 straight, there is no frigging way I would take Philly in this spot.

Natti's d line imo is among the best in the nfl, tonight they match up vs. arguably the worst offensive line (along with dallases and chicagos) in the nfl. Last week romo was under duress most of the game, and if not for some inexplicable red zone meltdowns by natti receivers natti blows dallas out.

Foles has  been a pleasant surprise for philly but his success has come among 2 assbad pass defenses imo, dallas and tampa. Tonight he faces off against the third rated defense in the nfl.

The eagles overpaid corners didn't do much last week to slow down tampa, that was more of a product of josh freeman having an absolute stinker of a game and missing wide open receivers early and often.

Ill take the better team and lay the chalk in this one, philly hasn't quit but their corners have, their o line sucks, and their d line is pathetic. Philly will make it interesting in the first half, but it will be shortlived. Natti minus the points for me.

One thing I find interesting is that in all of these posts, there's a lot of talk about how the Bengals would be on a 5 game winning streak if not for a loss to Dallas last week - right and 3 of those wins were @KC, home vs OAK, and @SD in a game they trailed 10 minutes through the 4th quarter.  Let's not make them in to world beaters here.

Philly has played better than most people give them credit for the last 3 weeks.  Two costly fumbles are what stood between them and a win vs. Carolina, and they led Dallas most of the way.  Very possible that last week was the breakthrough they needed as Foles gets more comfortable.

Tough to take a 7-5 team that's been extremely streaky giving 5.5 on the road.  Small play on Philly +5.5

Everything points towards Cin in this matchup.

Except for the fact that they are Prime Time chokers.

0-11 last 11 Prime Time Games.

Throw the eagles injuries out of the equation and realize Phi with the points is the play tonight.
