#5 Posted: 12/4/2012 2:55:56 PM When a major quarterback is running through city streets chasing babies, like Brady is, I wouldn't bet ten cents on the Pats! Could be why he didn't cover the spread Sunday (by one point!)
But Good Luck! |

#14 Posted: 12/6/2012 8:55:16 AM Houston a very good team, but patriots a better team right now. Greenbay shredded the texans secondary with no greg jennings. Brady i think the best ever at his positon with shredd the texans and lets remember the patriots are good against the run and there secondary is showing up. This is a prime time game monday night in which that favors the patriots and brady. The spread should of been -7 but i can see it being 4 with no gronk. Texans betters dont bite the apple, Brady gonna show why the patriots are still the best team in football.\
Patriots -34
texans- 17 |

#15 Posted: 12/6/2012 9:21:11 AM Pats cover here at home on Prime Time. Long trip for Houston to the northeast. Houston may have elements to deal with that are out of their comfort zone. N.E is playing good football right now and I think Brady can carve up the Hou secondary just like Rodgers.
N.E - 3. |

The "best ever" can't throw a ball accuratley if its more than 10 yards.......the "best ever" was 0-13 with 2 INT's in three playoff games last year. Scrape up some stats from Aikmen or Montana that show futility like that...........
Pats at home in December is the factor here.....Houston will get them in the AFC title game (in Hou)

Brady 5 superbowl appearances 3 superbowl rings, broken many records has set many records, not to mention he has made triple the money that those quarterbacks did, and not to mention he has no emmitt smith, michael irvin or jay novacek or a defense in whick dallas possess or to mention a jerry rice or john taylor or roger craig.. The dude "Brady" is rediculous.. Give credit when its do.. An he will beat texans rather its in Houston or my backyard.. |

He still can't throw a deep ball..........it's been the case since he has been starting, other than the short time he had Moss going up to get those ducks....Brady ducks and bows when there arent any pass rushers near him......He's the best system QB ever other than Montana. and 100% for sure - the greatest happy football player ever. That cant be denied. |

#23 Posted: 12/7/2012 4:33:14 PM I will take the Patriots at home laying 3 to any team in the NFL, even against the 11-1 Texans. The one loss the Texans suffered all year was against the Green Bay Packers. They probably should have lost to the Lions as well. They also once let Chad Henne go absolutely nuts on them about a month ago. The Texans achilles heel is their pass defense (ranking 19th in the league). If JJ Swat isn't batting them down, the odds are that pass is getting completed. I think you can attribute this to Jonathan Joseph being out for such a big chunk of the year. He is listed as questionable, but I'm not sure if he will be a 100% either way.
The Texans are an impressive 6-0 on the road this year. Its so tough to win on the road in this league, especially at New England. The Pats haven't lost at home since that fluke game against Arizona in week 2. I think Belicheck will have his defense ready to stop the Texans offense that relies primarily on the playaction. The playaction is really only effective when a team is running the ball well. I think the Pat's 9th ranked rush defense will come to play in a Monday night setting, and that Houston might find themselves in 3rd and long situations quite a bit on Monday night.
My prediction is the Patriots hand the Texans their first road loss, and that Belicheck tries to send a message like he did to the Colts earlier this year. He definitely likes big statement wins over teams that he will possibly see again in the playoffs. Obviously, I don't think this will be a huge blowout. But it wouldn't shock me if the Pats won this by 13 or more points.
Not too often you can get the Pats -3 at home without the public being all over them!! I will be more than happy to bet New England for my first time this season.
Good luck! |

#24 Posted: 12/7/2012 5:07:08 PM Houston is a great team and deserve all the respect in the world, but I can't see them going into New England and leaving with a win. Houston will have problems when they get spread out. They can neutralize a target or two, but Brady always has 4 legit targets to go to, and gets rid of the ball quickly. I can't give Houston much of a chance on offense to keep up because they're predictable. I've never seen a team that scores early and mails it in the rest of the game like Kubiak's team does. That's why I like Belichick in this spot, if they get the lead they're going to try to make a statement and put Houston away. Everyone gave the Patriots garbage when they ran up 59 points on Indianapolis, but he didn't give Andrew Luck any opportunity to make a comeback, he stepped on their throat (unlike Detroit). I can see him doing the same thing to Houston if he gets a chance.
Houston may be a better racecar than New England, but Belichick is far and away the better driver.....
New England -3.5
