Reason: database Comment:  Both teams coming off divisional contests. RG III is the real deal, but might have to come back to earth against the Ravens.

BALTIMORE  + 1

Judging by their record, I won't go "out on a limb" hogwile on the Skins. The Ravens are perennial playoff contenders. And when was it, that the Skins even made the playoffs?

Washington wins this game and here is why. Alfred Morris. That's right, not RG3. The Ravens have been getting gashed by teams that can run the ball, and this week they are going to have their hands full. Especially if Suggs doesn't play.

Redskins -1

It normally pains me to agree with Vue, but I like the Ravens too. Its not the greatest matchup on paper, as the Ravens rush defense has been nowhere near its usual form.
I just think the whole RG III mania has gotten a bit out of hand and Vegas is starting to figure that out with this line. I am sure coach Harbaugh and his defense watched the game on Monday night and listened to John Gruden cup RG III's nuts the entire game. And after losing to the hated Steelers last week, I think Baltimore comes out a very angry and their defense comes out lke a pack of wild dogs this Sunday. I think they're pissed that their record stands at 9-3 and they are being completely dismissed as contenders. I'm sure as hell not ready to bet a 9-3 team is going to lose back-to-back games.
Further, let's take a look how the Skins have fared against the AFC North. They lost at home 38-31 to the Bengals, and got absolutely dominated by the Steelers at Heinz field. Don't think for a second that Baltimore doesn't know that. They will soak up the film and be prepared. While their defense isn't as stout as it used to be, they still have some decent players that will have the discipline not to get gashed like the Giants did on Monday night.
I also think Flacco will be able to stretch the field on this secondary. One thing I noticed from Monday is that Eli was really close to connecting on a couple deep balls. Say what you want about Flacco, but the guy has a live arm and a great deep ball. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he put up some numbers. And of course, we can't forget about hey diddle-diddle Ray Rice up the middle.
My final point is that the Redskins aren't the only team fighting for a playoff spot. The Ravens would clinch a playoff birth with a win and the division with 2 more wins. Don't think for a second that they don't want this game too. I will take the measly 2 points and hope that Harbaugh and his resilient Ravens get the job done.
Good luck

It is my contention that the NFC is a stronger conference that the AFC this year so that doesn't really concern me. The win against the Giants (in the same division) was a confidence booster for the Redskins. Just ask RGIII or any of his teammates

Doesn't that kind of contradict your stat you pulled up a couple of weeks ago, about teams who faced the Steelers in the previous game, did absolutely terrible in the next game. So that would mean Baltimore should lose this one right? To me they look to be going downhill. They just lost to the Steelers. I would not be surprised at all if Washington won this game. But the real value lies on the teaser card.

I do not like a team off of a Monday night contest but the skins look for real with their running game............ Baltimore always has a let down after the Steelers games ( They barely won on the road at San Diego, but then again that was San Diego ).......Washington 24 Baltimore 20..........Ravens are starting to falter a bit and the Skins are on their way up.

Good Luck to everyone..!

Luving Wash in this spot. Balti sucks on the road. They can be run on too. This opens up play action.  Balti gets roasted on a spit.

How many here have been burned by the Ravens on the road?

To much offense against a traumitized team both physically and emotionally.

This game comes down to balls and Washington is holding the bigger pair right now.

Gold Sheet Looks for RG-3 Repeat Performance!

Baltimore 20 at Washington 25  "Baltimore' Flying Wallenda act (seven games decided by three points or fewer!; Ravens 5-2 SU in those) finally cost them last week vs. the Steelers.  And while John Harbaugh's bunch is still comfortably ahead in AFC North, getting a bye in the first round of the playoffs now looks more problematic, especially with Joe Flacco's passing numbers decreasing on the road (only 4 TDP away TY!).

Meanwhile, RG-3's recent fireworks are camouflaging some of the concerns Mike Shanahan is having with his defense, but getting the Skins on the edge of NFL playoff mix...especially if they beat NY Giants Monday night."  (Gold Sheet did call Washington over New York for Monday night's game).

Glad I was one of the few that ran with RG-3 Monday night, and took Washington-1 yesterday!  Redskins now on a 5-2 run vs. point spread last seven games.  And QB RG-3 and RB Morris taking no prisoners as they try to battle their way into the NFL playoffs!

Baltimore "under" the total last 4 out of 5 road games!

Washington "under" the total last 4 out of 5 home games!

Redskins vs. Ravens "under" the total last 4 meetings!

Will continue to have faith in RG-3 to pull of a repeat performance, trust in RB Alfred Morris to rack up yards, and look for Washington to cover the one point spread.

Washington minus 1 over Baltimore!

Washington/Baltimore Under 48!

You are totally right. I completly forgot about that angle. But in this case, I think it holds less meaning because the Redskins are coming off the shorter work week from the Monday Night game.

For some damn reason, I am just looking for a way to fade this RG III mania. I think Baltimore is the better team and I like that they are coming off a loss. The Skins are starting to get a little too much respect. So they beat the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants since their bye week. I don't like their chances of winning 4 in a row, something they haven't done all season. And I don't like the chances of the Ravens losing 2 in a row. Something they also haven't done all season.

Good luck

Going with the Redskins! If Pitt can do it at the Ravens house with 37 year old Charlie Batch @ QB. RG3 can do it without Ray Lewis and T sizzle pressuring him.

Flacco a huge game ? This is something VUE would write. Flacco doesn't know what a huge game is. He's pathetic period ! I wouldn't trust Flacco with your first born child.

The books know the public is going to be on Washington, so they setup for a Washington loss. Why isn't Washington at least a -3.0 favorite? Because they don't want to give the Ravens points.

Ravens +1.0.
