#26 Posted: 12/3/2012 11:58:52 AM Gotta go with the giants in this one. They looked really fresh last week after the bye week while absolutely destroying the packers. Washingtons wins are vs. bad opponents, griffins racked up most of his stats against the absolutely despicably bad eagles and cowboys defenses the last two weeks. He's a good player but not so fast imo. Giants -2.5 for 2x standard bet. Gl. |

#33 Posted: 12/3/2012 12:24:13 PM I know i am thinking Skins ML. Good news is, I'm in a hedge situation. Got a live ticket for $1800 if Giants cover +3.5 So I'm hedging with Redskins ML hoping Skins win by 3 or less then can cash on both bets.
Who here thinks the skins will win but by 3 or less? I see a close game 34 to 31 either way... |

#34 Posted: 12/3/2012 12:36:30 PM I have the line at -2.5 NYG right now, i dont know, it seems to be begging for NYG money, and the betting trend reflects that, as people are hitting that line at 70%, but i just dont know if i can trust washington against a good team, im torn right now! |

#35 Posted: 12/3/2012 12:48:28 PM Best thing to do is lay off and watch a pretty good matchup. Way to many things in play to feel good about doing anything. |

#37 Posted: 12/3/2012 12:57:12 PM Big Giants fan myself, and I think this is largely a no-play game.
Only thing worth a small flier bet is the over, but neither team or coach will want to let a shoot-out happen. Might be best to wait for halftime, and see if game is sluggish, and take 2H over.
Skins do have G-Men number lately, but they are also off a big win over Dallas, so I see no real edge in terms of letdowns by either side. Neither side has a huge edge Defensively, as both D's are pretty bad and give up tons of yardage. The big advantage G-Men have is their D-Line, and if JPP is out, and RGIII is scrambling, I don't see a ton of sacks.
If I had to pick a side, I'd take the points. Small over play is my only pick - best of luck to all.
FYI - I am in CT, and the weather is freaking beautiful. I took vacation day from work, and it is shorts and t-shirt weather right now. And zero wind. BOL. |

#38 Posted: 12/3/2012 12:57:17 PM Skins have won 2 of last 3 vs NYG plus they have Eli's number - he's struggled against Wash. Skins by 3. |

#41 Posted: 12/3/2012 3:17:16 PM Everyone keeps saying the Skins' defense is bad, it's actually the secondary that's bad, their rushing defense is not too bad. The last game between the two the Redskins piled up 248 rushing yards to the Giants' 64 yards. The Giants did play well out of the bye week, and they concentrated shutting down Rodgers and the passing game, allowing the semi-average running game to move the ball. Even with JPP if he plays doesn't mean it will be a big impact. The last game he had a sack, an assist, and 3 tackles. The three lost fumbles hurt Washington as well as the 0-2 in the red zone in the last encounter. Griffen was also effective going 20-28 with 248 yards with 2 TD's and an INT. Eli should have a decent game due to the bad Skins' secondary, and they do have the better kicking game. I could see this game going over even though the number keeps dropping....
Also another fun fact: The Lions, Texans, Cowboys, Jets, Patriots, and Redskins all played on Thanksgiving. They are a combined 4-1 straight up, and would have been 5-0 if the Lions could have played defense in the final minute. Maybe the extra few days off for preparation/rest helps?
I hate betting against the Giants in December, and I don't usually like taking both the side and the total of the same game, but I'm bucking all trends for tonight....
Redskins ML +125

The skins believe they gave the Giants a gift with that one and will serve as motivation in this game along with the fact they are fighting for there playoff lives.
This game is not a must win for the Giants and they have been consistent over the last 4 years of playing down to there competition and slumping in the second half. This trend has continued this season and I wouldn't bet on them until they show otherwise.
Stay away from the G-Men in this one.
I agree and dont forget RG3 shows up in Prime Time games

#48 Posted: 12/3/2012 4:36:58 PM Hope dkaukaohu and Sam Ruby are right! That will be a nice finish. I'll go ahead and predict a final score myself-
Redskins- 28 New York- 27 (I guess I agree with dkaukaohu here)
This game should go over. Anyone picking the under is insane..and that's a fact. |
