#101 Posted: 11/8/2012 6:21:07 PM I'm taking the Jags tonight. Emotion can sometimes be your own worst enemy on the football field and cause the football equivalent of a hangover. Take a look at the Ravens who won on a Monday night when inspired by the loss of Torrey Smith's brother. They almost lost the following week to the Browns. Take a look at the Colts who beat the Packers when they first found out their coach had cancer. They got humiliated by the Jets the following week, allowing Shonn Greene to have a monster game. Luck is going to be one of the great ones, but he's still a rookie playing on the road during a short work week. Lets ot forget that even the hall of famer Peyton Manning was 3-13 his rookie year.
Plus the Jags haven't won a home game yet this entire season and we are in week 10!!! This game will probably the last nationally televised game the Jags play and I think they will be up to the task tonight.
The wise guys make some money back tonight. Jags pull off the upset! |

#104 Posted: 11/8/2012 6:36:15 PM Reply to phil5121 "Yes, Alabama versus the Jacksonville Jags would be a competitive football game"...
You, sir, are on drugs. Jags might be one of the worst in the NFL (KC?) but would win by 40+ over Bama. Average quality of athlete between the NCAA and NFL is enormous.
Regardless of that point, JAX is averaging 8.5 ppg at home this year and are eating an average of 31.5 ppg at home this year. They are 0-4 SU and ATS at home.
Add to that Indy's road offense (16.3 ppg) and road defense (29.6ppg) and here's what you have: two teams with inflated game total expectations. Indy's average loss is by 16.3 and the Jags lose by an average of 15.2. These teams have 10 losses between them, many of which are high-scoring blowouts by superior (in the moment, this is the NFL) opponents. Jacksonville alone has played five 2011 playoff teams in eight games so far.
So- the big play for me is the UNDER 42.5. Given that it is also same-season divisional revenge for the Colts, I'll take IND -3 for slightly less. Possible parlay or AR...
UNDER 1000 / COLTS 500
100 Parlay UNDER & COLTS for 1285

Great writeup and I agree. This is not at home in their dome and colts shouldnt be favored by this much over anyone on the road. |

#110 Posted: 11/8/2012 8:11:14 PM ATTENTION PUNTERS!!
My sources in FLA tell me the reverse trap is in effect, For every 100 public gamblers out there, there's one that does equal volume as the other 100 combined. A.K.A. Whale/sharp/degen..... Las Vegas had their worst week in years last week because every favourite won. Also every square won i.e. saints, bears, broncos, ravens, lions, bucks, seahawks etc. Few weeks back when the 4-0 and cards were in St.Louis, the square plau was arizona so all the sharps cleaned house and the squares scratched their temples...different story tonight, Vegas knows every sharp will jump with heavy money on JAX thinkoin there's a trap. A 5-3 team should kill a 1-7 team on paper and with the line movement, millions of dollars are being poured on the Jags. From the east coast to offshore accounts. Don't be fooled, take Indy large. The reverse trap is in. Squares will win millions while the pro's will lose billions! gotta love the nfl. Organized crime will always have their paws on nig business. Enjoy the game |

#113 Posted: 11/8/2012 8:28:31 PM The only thing insane is not thinking of all possibilities when it comes to the NFL and sports in general. The way you talk, this is the lock of the century and it most certainly not sir!
Are you Colts a better team on paper and in the stat sheet? YEP
Does that team always win? Nope
As another poster stated emotion is a big factor. I think you saw that last week with the Jags dismal performance (lost v. Oak week before after leading for much of the game)
I am playing the Jags and under. |

#120 Posted: 11/8/2012 11:02:57 PM Jags have officially mailed it in for the year. This team is a disgrace. It actually looks like their intentionally trying to lose this game. I think their new owner wants them to lose so they get a higher draft pick next year. |

#122 Posted: 11/8/2012 11:12:28 PM How about they just suck and are missing their best offensive player? Oh and throw in the fact that I tried to convince you all about the motivation factor. Throw in Luck getting better each week and here is the result you get! |

#123 Posted: 11/8/2012 11:14:06 PM I'd love a 24-17 final. That'd mean a 5-0 night and an 10-0 week and it's only Thursday! |
