A prepared Brady Quinn might be an improvement in this spot.

KC played Baltimore really tough last week, but its still hard to be impressed with Romeo Crennel's team this season.  With the exception of Jamal Charles and Dwayne Bowe, the team has been really unimpressive as they now sit in last place in the equally unimpressive AFC West.  Not sure what to expect with Brady Quinn's first start in quite a while.  The only real angle I can come up with for backing the Chiefs is that they have a bye next week and probably wouldn't want to put up another stinker going into the bye.  However, Romeo Crennel doesn't strike me as a scary disciplinarian type of coach.

Greg Schiano, on the other hand, is a damn drill sergeant, and I would expect the Bucs to be well prepared and rested for this Chiefs team that just played one of the more physical teams in the NFL (the Ravens).  This must have been a brutally tough week of practice for the Tampa Bay Bucs.  They had the Redskins right where they wanted them in week 4, and let RG3 go right down the field in the final minute.  Schiano will not let his team make that same mistake this sunday.

Bucs 24

Chiefs 13

KC +3.5 5 unit max play.  TB has no offense!  The only way TB scores is off turnovers.  I don't believe KC will throw much because Quinn is in Cassel is out.  Charles et al should be able to run the ball effectively.  This looks like a TB 2 or 3 point win which I'd take any Sunday of the season!

This game is one I stayed away from but I guess if you put a gun to my head, I'd go with KC. I leaned Tampa at first..and may of even picked them for the contest..but this might be one of my losses this week. I really would just flip a coin...but I do think KC has a chance here, as bad as they are...Tampa is no better.

The Bucs aren't as bas as people think... They're actually playing some good football under Greg Schiano. Look at their 3 losses: They lost to the Giants in NY 41-34, they lost at Dallas 16-10 in a game they should have won, and they lost at home to the Washington Redskins 24-22 before the Redskins had all their injuries. Schiano  has them playing the right way, and it looks like Freeman is returning to form. Tampa also does well coming off they bye; they are 4-1 coming off their bye the last 5 years.

I don't think Quinn will be any kind of an improvement nor do I think the team will show up to play with him at QB. Do you remember how bad Quinn was when he played for the Browns? The Chiefs are struggling, and Romeo Crennel isn't impressing me at all. Also, Tampa Bay has a good home field advantage, and they'll show up to prove they are better than their 1-3 record in this game. I'm saying Tampa Bay wins more than two touchdowns.

Buccaneers -4 1/2  BIG

TB coming off the bye + KC starting Quinn + the Bucs have a solid run defense = TB victory

Yeah, I agree with Sammy as well.

Although, this game doesnt interest me, it is a decent price for the better team at home.  Chiefs stink it up badly.  I've watched that team's pathetic offense and it's like they implode if they ever happen to get to an opponent's 35 yard line.  Absolutey nothing outside of Jamal Charles on that lame offense.  And what makes this even more enticing is seeing Brady Quinn have to take over.  hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha i know plenty about that loser

Bucs win this game by 7 or more

I agree with most everything you said, EXCEPT your comment about Freeman.  Freeman has again regressed to his 2011 form and has looked nothing short of terrible since the NYG game.  Hopefully this game sees him improving.

With the announcement that Aqib Talib will be suspended for getting tweaked out on Adderall, the over 40 looks very good here.  I already had the game for 1 unit o40, but like it even better now.  Talib is a damn good corner, so this will hurt the Bucs defensively.

I'd say pick another game altogether...but if you must take action here...I'd take the bucs simply because they are playing at home coming off a bye after a disappointing last minute loss to the skins...Brady Quinn hasn't started a game since 2009...the bucs will bring pressure and force Quinn to get rid of the ball or get sacked...kc o-line gives up almost 3 per game...Jamal Charles will be forced to carry the load..Bucs run defense is one of the best in the league...if they can limit him the Chiefs become one dimensional with a statue trying to move the ball down field....they're also traveling after that slugfest with the Ravens...if the Bucs get up early in the game the Chiefs will not put up a fight and will go into their bye week trying to get healthy.....better games to bet...but if you must bet this one...make sure to buy the spread to TB -3.....or put TB in a teaser...BOL

I think the over is the play here... Brady Quinn could be in for a pick-six to help out.
